http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/0,1518,511820,00.html So far they're up to a non-agression and "won't let anyone agress from here" pact. The question is, will it end in a mutual defense pact, sort of a latter-day Triple Alliance (Quintuple Alliance or Caspian Alliance... I like that name)? And more importantly, will it make the government think twice before bombing Iran?
Is Turkmenistan's new leader as certifiably insane as their last one? And as for Azerbaijan...yeah, that's a good site for the missile defense system
No. Because I see this playing out badly in the game of Global chess... Iran enters a mutual defense pact with Russia... Israel bombs Iran over something... Russia bombs Israel... US bombs Russia... Something like that.
At this moment in time, I honestly believe Israel could clean Russia's clock, fighting a purely defensive action. Unless of course Russia wanted to nuke 'em, but they would never go there.
