HHS: When We Said ObamaCare Would Provide More Choices, We Didn’t Actually Mean It Would Provide More Choices Apparently now, any blowhard from DC can issue over-inflated, non-realistic promises, (you know, the kind delivered during election season), and then, when someone calls him or her on the bullshit, it's just edited out of the record (without notation). What is it that you always say, Muad? Oh yeah, "Hope and Change, bitches."
Meh. Medicare Advantage is a scam anyway that should be completely discontinued. For every extra dollar of premiums paid for over traditional Medicare, patients get perhaps 10 cents worth of medical care, with the rest going to insurance company profits and grossly inflated overhead. It would be far cheaper and much less wasteful simply to expand traditional Medicare benefits. As for what the change in language means, well, most Medicare Advantage plans are obscure about what additional benefits they offer at their grossly inflated prices, and there's no sensible way for the suckers who want to "upgrade" from Medicare to choose among them. Better labeling of plans and making sure the choices are distinctive will mean more meaningful choices for the suckers who want to throw away their money on higher premiums mostly for increased administrative costs.
Damn Sebulbus. It is bad enough that she's a terrible HHS Secretary. If she'd just beat Anakin in the pod race we'd have been spared more than 2/3 of the prequel trilogy.
One thing we need to remember about our President and Congress. The one sure way to know if they are lying is simple. When they are talking, they are lying.
How curious that an individual who seems to think they know quite a lot about the healthcare package passed by the President and the Congress can't seem to answer the simple question.. have you read it. We know that our Congress and President didn't want it read when it was being voted on. So it is curious that anyone here can act as if they are some sort of an authority on it even when the members of Congress do not know everything that the legislation has included in it.
