I didn't read that in the article. Besides, that's a big "duh". The building was coming down anyway. So instead of the thing falling sideways and taking out half of New York, they had a controlled demolition. That doesn't take rocket science. Not that that will ever make the news or be officially reported.
Those buildings didn't need any help coming down. And no...I don't believe Americans chose to murder fellow Americans that day. The actual tragedy was bad enough without adding asinine conspiracy theories to the mix.

Are you saying you believe that, in the midst of the immediate aftermath of the attacks, while firefighters and cops were trying to get people out of the towers, when no one knew whether more attacks were coming, or how long the towers would stand with the damage incurred, that a couple of demolition teams, obviously standing by in Lower Manhattan for just such an emergency, arrived on the scene, made their way to all the crucial points in both towers (undetected), rigged up explosives, made their way out (again undetected), and then detonated the explosives without advising anyone beforehand (and forty-five minutes apart)...all to PREVENT further damage to New York City? Have you given a moment's reflection to how batshit crazy that idea is?
I think you've entirely misunderstood what happened. The Towers were designed to telescope into themselves in the event of catastrophe. No one was setting charges on 9/11.
I assumed she thought that there were explosives in place all the time just in case of terrorist attack, based on her comment about the previous explosion at the Towers. Can't say I think it's any better a hypothesis though...like Garamet pointed out, the Tower design worked the way it was meant to.
My cousin wrecked her Camry a year ago. Luckilly someone planted explosives that caused it to "crumple" in certain "zones" thus saving her from serious bodily injury.
