Practice enunciating the words in front of the mirror? Seems kind of unnecessary whether the prediction is right or not. :marathon:

It's Michael Moore. He gets nothing right, so if he says Romney is gonna win, better get to shinin' up those Obama stickers for the next four years.

Maybe he is right...he plans on swallowing Obama whole next time he misses a trip to Grand Buffet (which would be every hour or so). Thus Romney runs unopposed. :Obamadance:

Oh, he's just trying to "shock" Dems off their ass to stop the scary Republicans.

    It's a tactic and nothing mo(o)re.

This, pretty much, along with a dash of attention whoring. I liked Roger and Me, and TV Nation, but he hasn't done or said anything worthwhile in a very long time.

If this was right then Obama would never have beaten McCain, surely? With Romney being more of a buffoon than McCain I don't see what has changed. It seems to me that if the black vote is still there for the messiah then he'll get back in.

Considering over 90 percent of black voters choose Democrat in every election in recent history, I would say that's a lock.

Yes, but considerably more black voters came out to vote for the messiah than they did previous Democrats.

^It's a bit more complicated than that.

Kids turned out in droves last time (think wordin and ilk) but this time around they're more jaded (already, go figure) and projections are they'll help Obama less.

Several similar little variables make it about more than black turnout. Anyway, the blacks most likely won't match last turnout, absent a trigger of some kind, the novelty president was, well, a novelty.

Oh no doubt, Obama drew in many black voters who may have otherwise stayed home.

Blacks vote Democratic on a 9:1 ratio all the time. That doesn't mean democrats always win.

It says that they democrat. It could be because they think Dems meet their needs, or they don't want to be ostrasized by their peers. Same reasons most people of all backgrounds vote the way they vote.

A 9:1 ratio based solely on phenotypic traits ain't a goodness regardless of justification.

I'll say it if he actually pulls it off. It's way too close call at this moment and we still have the debates coming up.

I think people are focusing on the source and not the actual content of what was said.

One key point he raised: Romney is, as I understand it, completely outraising Obama. Which is fairly impressive because Obama had fundraising as a major strength. There also will be all the superPAC cash coming in, and from what I understand, that too favors Romney.

In many, if not most, races, the side that raises/spends the most tends to win.

That's no guarantee that will happen in this case, but it at least suggests Romney will likely win.

On the other hand, in most modern presidential elections (it seems to me, any way), the winner has been the guy that most people would rather have a beer with. It seems to me that Obama wins the "beer" test.

I guess we'll see in a few months.

McCain had a lot of strikes against him that Romney doesn't: his age, his choice of Palin, his following up an increasingly unpopular president for starters.

He was also running against someone who because of his minimal background and because of his potential to be the first black president was a difficult opponent.

Obama outfundraised McCain by almost a 2-1 margin, according to wiki.

By contrast, Romney hasn't made any major mistakes that I can see so far. The occasional gaffe, sure. But nothing like McCain did.

Obama now has a record that he has to run on, and the Romney camp can point to any of a multitude of mistakes his administration has made or simply the notion that "Hey, the economy hasn't gotten better (or better enough), and it's his fault."

And as discussed above, Romney is poised to outfundraise Obama.

I agree that Romney is a much stronger candidate than McCain.

And support for Obama has probably waned among blacks, especially among the church-going folk that disagree with him on gay marriage.

It sounds like Moore is just doing his part to get out the vote. Scare them by telling them Romney is going to win in hopes that they get off their butts and actually go vote.

Negative. They will put that church shit on the back burner when they check that block saying Obama in the voting booth. Lesser of two evils and all that.

Meanwhile, Michael Moore should start practicing the words, "Just a small, please" and "Another helping? No, I'm good."

I liked what he had to say about if people could vote from their couch American Idol style, Obama would win hands down. Seems to me it can only be reactionary to oppose the introduction of home-based technology for voting.
