http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/201...gosnell-convicted-of-first-degree-murder?lite Fry the bastard. A man can dream. As far as I'm concerned, people that kill children should be dealt with without mercy.
While Dayton can be a bloviating oaf at times, this situation is a bit different. This is the guy that delivered babies and then killed them. His "clinic," and I use that term loosely, was filthy, germ ridden, and aside from breaking a number of health laws, was also involved in many counts of death due to negligence, among other things. He's a scum sucking son of a bitch, and while I am against the death penalty, I wouldn't mind one bit if he were locked away the rest of his life.
Copout. If an abortion clinic is a murder mill, you're morally obligated to do everything you can to shut it down. You don't really believe your own rhetoric.
If Christians really, really, really, REALLY believed Hell was a real place that lived right under their feet, they'd be scared shitless to even be assholes. But look how many are.
I'm genuinely surprised that the guy was even convicted. Considering how much shit he got away with, I would have expected him to get a slap on the wrist at most.
Can't. Gosnell is in Philly and you Yankees want to confiscate all the guns. If Dayton had shot him, Chad would have spammed up the Red Room with half a dozen threads. Just best not to.
You're "pro-life," and the only reason you can find for not killing somebody is that it would look bad?
I'm fully in support of abortion rights, but if a baby is delivered alive then killing it is 100% wrong. That goes for the idea of drugs to kill the fetus before delivery as well. If there is a good medical safety reason for doing that then fair enough, however while a Oman should be able to end a pregnancy, if the baby can survive independently of her it should be allowed to do so.
^ That is already a much more reasonable position (from the point of view of those of us who do not approve of abortion) than what many defend, but it is worth noting that it is "fully in suppot of abortion rights" only as you define those rights. To many people, it is already a limitation of abortion rights.
So? To many people, being opposed to abortion means being opposed to abortion even when not having one will kill the mother, with the fetus dying shortly thereafter anyway. What's your point?
Wait what now? Unless you're killing abortion workers you aren't really against abortion? Hold on . . . Oh yeah, I can totally see that.
Damn D, obsess much? A doctor is convicted on multiple counts of infanticide and you're off on Christianity again.
The obvious idea was to present abortion as a position that cannot be discredited, no matter what: 1) If you are really against abortion, you must kill those who practice it. Otherwise, you are a hypocrite. 2) If you kill those who practice it, you are not pro-life, so you are a hypocrite. It was a transparent troll. It should not be taken seriously.
Many? No. This is a really fringe opinion...the flipside of those who think abortion is okay at anytime and even shortly after birth. Most people's beliefs fall in more reasonable boundaries.
Once a fetus is fully viable, there are virtually no medical cases in which abortion, as opposed to live delivery, is medically indicated to save the life or health of the mother. If she's made it that far, the abortion is just as likely, or unlikely, to kill her as the delivery itself.
that there are "all or nothing" knuckleheads on both sides of the argument? (who, collectively, have gotten in the way of the saner folks resolving this issue politically, BTW)
You're correct, it was a poor choice of words on my part. I instinctively define abortion as ending a pregnancy, however not neccesarily the child. However since that is far from a universal definition I should instead say that I am in 100% support of a woman's right to stop carrying a child.
No, not at all. I realize RickDekard mentioned shooting up the place, but what I said was "do everything you can to shut it down." That doesn't mean place yourself in a morally equivalent position. It means bomb the building when the staff aren't there, or use your body to barricade the door, etc. If there was a genocide factory down the street, you can bet I'd do everything short of murder to stop it. Wouldn't you? If no, why? If yes, then why not the same for an abortion clinic? Sometimes people who are uncomfortable with a question label it a troll in order to avoid having to answer.
Like who? I know any pro choice group I've been active/supportive of in the past pretty much focused on first trimester/pre viability. Few times, if ever, have I known anyone supporting the right to the procedure to be after third trimester access on demand. Of course, most would favour late term if the mother's life was in jeopardy. Those tend to be rather rare and unique circumstances though, and I'd expect, tend to be doctor recommended (being that someone qualified to tell a woman who hasn't had an abortion after 6 months of pregnancy likely intended to have the baby otherwise). Maybe you should try honesty in your assertions?
