From a glance, it seems like the national review archives are online, meaning if it existed it would get picked up by Google.

Who knows. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe it was Weekly Standard or American Spectator.

It never having happened would seem like the most likely thing at this point.

    @Liet: :rotfl:

But this is quite strange, because I've read that people are discussing this on the Internet. How is it that only this one discussion comes up in the search?

I assume you know that a google search does not cover everything on the internet.

    Around 5% IIRC.

That said, I do not like my honesty being attacked. I've always tried to tell things accurately.

Can someone explain this to me please?

    1) People on this forum believe the worst things I've said about my past and my character virtually without question.

    2) People on this forum DO NOT believe the BEST things I've said about my past and character.

    Finally,

    3) People on this forum DO NOT believe me when I mention I read something years ago?

How can you accept the first without accepting the other two?

Can you explain in detail? Or will you respond mindlessly and flippantly? Something that Garamet might do...

It covers basically everything that is publicly available on the web though.

    The exceptions are:

    1. Sites which have requests for searchbots to avoid them.
    2. Sites behind access walls (ie workplace networks that you need to log into)
    3. Islanded content, pages which exist but are not linked to from anywhere else the searchbots crawl.

Then withdraw the quote. You made an assertion of a direct quote to support your argument.

You may have genuinely misremembered and thought you had read that quote, but given no evidence of it can be found you would have to admit the likelyhood is you were mistaken and he never said those words.

Here's two options for you, which do you think is more likely?

    1. Over the past decade you have confused things you have read, leading you to remember a quote that was never actually said.

    2. That quote was actually said, and despite the fact it would have been jumped on by thousands of commentators, it remained totally unrepeated apart from you.

No real detail is necessary, as the explanation is simple: The bad stuff you've admitted to, established that you are a bad person. And because you've established that you're a bad person, any good stuff you claim about yourself is instantly suspect. Got it?
It only seems mindless to those who are. As far as being flippant; it's really more than you deserve, as you are a bad person, but we go the extra mile because, relatively speaking, we are not bad people.

I am not a bad person. I don't smoke, drink, use drugs or cheat on my wife or cheat on my taxes. I contribute money both to church and to fundraisers for people who are sick, injured or down on their luck. Perhaps I should do more of that.

I seldom use vulgarity or profanity. I'm nice to children and animals and I avoid promoting the use of violence.

I'm not a saint. I've made many mistakes and yes, I've deliberately hurt a few people over the last few decades. I regret those instances and hope people forgave me.

But by any objective standard, I'm certainly not a "bad person".

Its interesting that you would class people who smoke or drink as bad people, yet ignore some of your own character flaws.

Yes you are, well according the Christianity at least. You exhibit pride, or the belief that one is essentially better than others, failing to acknowledge the accomplishments of others, and excessive admiration of the personal self. And then there is gluttony, you didn't like that by not overeating. Smacking your wife, choking someone.... wrath.

So yeah, there's one standard by which you're a very bad person.

I never claimed to be perfect and acknowledged doing the wrong thing in the past.

The "choking someone " was not one of those wrongs. It was a shoplifter that I received a direct order to physically stop by a member of management.

A simple choke hold was all I used. And to be accurate he put his hands on me first.

I do not understand the things you people choose to make a big deal of.

Where does that come from? I don't have much opinion about Jews one way or other.

I'm a big supporter of Israel but that is because they are a western style country surrounded by enemies in a backward region of the world.

Where do you get the claim that I hate Jews?

Loathing Rick Berman doesn't mean you hate Jews.

In fact, on a Star Trek related board, it is probably a membership requirement.

So, I do not like Jews. I don't dislike them either. To me they are the same as Catholics.

I certainly do not hate them (or Catholics for that matter).

This is a classic example of what makes so many of the posters at Wordforge (and other places like the TrekBBS & Spacebattles.com) so loathesome.

Taking a simple face value statement and because you don't like the person making it driving it into the ground. And misrepresenting what is said.

The "chicken coop" was a gross misrepresentation by the liars that constitute many of my critics deliberately using that term to try and make what I was claiming ridiculous.

I used to store lots of old magazines in the old broiler house (capacity of about 15-16,000 birds) that we used as a hay barn.

Now I store most of them that are still available on the screened in back porch at my dad's house. Technically my house as I own it now. If you follow My Diary you hear me talk about going there to mow the yard periodically.

Excuse me for not having decades of magazines and books readily available for instant recall.

Ironically, I never considered the possibility that people would make something and lie on an internet discussion board. There is no point to it.

Did you just release Blue Room info?

You were found out to be making up information, it was proven that you made up quotes from your chicken coop storage. Your world of lies and deceit are slowly falling down around you.

I made a mistake a couple of times regarding things I had read years earlier.

A few errors does not make someone a liar or make them a bad person.

Gosh, the Red Room might as well be called the TrekBBS Neutral Zone.
