No. I've googled it. You can find a few left wing sites that claim Vice President Cheney "made millions" from the invasion of Iraq but if you break it down what you find is that Halliburton made billions of dollars and they are just assuming that a portion of that went to Vice President Cheney.

When you finally nail down all the websites, you will find that the consensus that NO extra money made it's way to Vice President Cheney as he carefully arranged to avoid that possibility before becoming the VP nominee.

"Extra" meaning outside of the severance package of close to 40 million dollars he received for further services as Vice President for no longer serving as CEO, in addition to deferred compensation and stock options, all of which profitted from Halliburton's profits.

Yeah, if you're still tied to a company financially, even though you've vacated your seat of authority or influence, and they gain significant profits, then you have profited from that. Cheney is no longer serving, but he still gets significant benefits from his financial connection to Halliburton.

Can you post a link from an unbiased source?

And no do not ask the same of me for my position because you cannot prove a negative. Nor do rules of debate obligate you to do so.

For the idea that you profit if you're a stock holder of a firm that does well financially?

I remember how it was explained. It was along the lines that Cheney's stock interests in Halliburton was basically "insured" when he became Vice President. So that whether Halliburton went bankrupt or tripled in value, his return on his investment was at a fixed rate either way.

Well now, that's quite a claim. And no, I'm not inclined to believe it if you can't provide any evidence beyond IIRC or chicken coop.

Seriously??? After all these years you still don't realize how valuable the chicken coop is going to be to future historians??? One day the chicken coop will be known as the "Chicken Coop" and be mentioned in the same sentence as the Library of Alexandria. And his IIRC will be the best know examples of knowledge and recorded history in the years to come.

Henceforth, if someone says "chicken coop" or something similar in a thread I'm posting in I will consider to be under no obligation to provide any links or sourcing whatsoever.

    Post a link proving this.

However you are the one that introduced the chicken coop, and it's supposed repertoire of knowledge and facts. So by this we can only assume the chicken coop never existed and that everything you posted you claimed came from the chicken coop was a lie.

So you are unable to provide evidence of your claim about Chenney. I'll take that as proof that he profited by the war. Case closed.

I not once referred to a "chicken coop". That term was used to mock and denigrate my dad and I do not appreciate

You want something from me posted here, ask with respect and deference.

Imitation only means you lack an original thought of your own.

Liar. You've used the words chicken coop several times to reference the chicken coop. You did it in this very thread twice so far.

Nope, consistency is what indicates that someone has a lack of original thought. As you've consistently demonstrated over the last 14-15 years.

    First, prove it.

Next, how about some evidence on Chenney. Or you can retract the claim, either are acceptable in a debate.

No I do not. Someone from wordforge (John Castle's name is prominently attached to it) created it mockingly labeling me as the 48th president of the United States. Several "quotes" were added regarding what I've allegedly posted.

A couple were real like my not thinking women should serve in the military.

Several are grossly out of context. Some are outright fabrications. My wife was so upset that she registered and logged on here and asked John (not John Castle) to take it down.

    Any way

Despite the gross disrespect being shown me I will provide a link with several viewpoints on the issue.
A common theme does seem to be though that VP Cheney did not profit directly from the invasion of Iraq.

Found it... actually most of them of them are also in the "Dayton's Greatest Hits" thread. A few seem to be what you've posted with some changes to the wording.

I'm guessing the "Hitting a woman is minor and insignificant." and "A sane man would rather hit his wife than spend years chasing pussy" are the ones that upset. her.

So answer this. You just accused me of creating the twitter account, but you are now saying that John Castle is the one who created it. So which one are you ascertaining?

And you've also said that when people use your quotes it's "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery", but now you're saying it's mockery. Which is what I've been telling you what it is for years now.

    And about the Twitter account.
