There is a reason I like the spoiled princess attitude. I get I am not the smartest person in the world and am not always right. But IRL I constantly end up having to weed out my friends and acquaintances because of too many dicks. Just recently i was getting so mad when I got online, and it was clear that something was wrong. Well, I have a friend who is into brand names and she has a husband (They are swingers) who is a redneck fashion diva who has befriended a bunch of redneck racists and bigots. Now they are not overly silent about their style, but the redneck conservatards tolerate them because they are not like those other damn queers. And because they had friends who were not openly hostile I tried to not be openly hostile and respectful. So I was expected to not make political arguments because we were all being friendly, but then I had to tolerate the southern swastica and racist comments when black people were not around. It did not start out being all that much but eventually I had to go through the effort of culling all those friendships and I had to be really judgmental (For me) to one of my friends which I hate doing. I had to do it because I was seeing all this conservative bragging and propaganda and I would be the dick if I told them all off. So fuck em. I culled the friends list and told that friend i could not be polite any longer to her friends so I was leaving the area instead of punching them in the head.

Online I like to spout out my opinion and argue it. That is what I come here for. I guess I would rather hang out with a bunch of open right wing conservatard assholes than to deal with censoring myself for the opinions of a bunch of touchy easily butthurt weaklings. I can have the Liberal deflector shield turned up to full blast here. I do not wish to ban their thoughts or piss on their parade directly, so I can wal away to other places. The moderators of this place presently have decided that weeding the dipshits is not necessary, and I want to fling poop around just like the rest at times so we have to put up with each other's poop. I like it that way. I do not wish to go some place which only allows certain types of poop to be thrown around, or only wants to let certain people throw the poop.

That may be the problem with wordforge's popularity. I personally think it is advertising given the popularity of reddit and the chan's /b/ , but that is by design and I am cool with that. If things do change I will move on.

That segment was a bitch. Almost no WF members have a four syllable moniker, much less with a certain meter. I had to marry up gul and garamet because their just wasn't anything else to go with. I threw meter out the window and just went with rough syllable counts, and in places I had to throw those out, too. Poetically, the result is pretty much a near cluster fuck, but it perhaps serves as a retrospective setup to the punch line part once you read it backwards.

Oh we certainly gave Clyde a hard time, but it wasn't because he was on staff. It was because he became a complete trolling douchebag. Trolling staff members have always been here -- that wasn't the issue. We were just responding to Clyde as we would have responded to any other troll.

Clyde did have an issue as a staff member, which was that he demanded people treat him better because of his position. He felt that he shouldn't be trolled back because it meant that people didn't respect his service to the board. That's why we fired him. He was a perfect encapsulation of the eliteforge concept. Staff are no better than anybody else. And they also have the same liberties as posting members of the board as everybody else. Clyde didn't understand the former point, Volpone doesn't understand the latter point.

Well, you're wrong. When you state something as fact, you are saying that you know, with reasonable certitude, that it is a fact. If you don't know that, then you're deceiving your audience.

Not the way I see it. I see nothing wrong with stating something as though you are 100% certain when in fact you're only 51% certain.

First, Clyde went off the rails way before Lanzman sold the board. I wouldn't have cared, except for he'd pull his shit during official capasity, something that's gotten Listkeeper and Chris bounced amount others. I won't slam Lanz too much because I realize he was going through a tough spot in his life but I'm glad Anc and Co. kicked him off staff.

Second, I haven't had a problem with staff trolling in the RR since I was in college, and that was a long damn time ago. I do have a problem when it's in the HD and people have legit issues (such as a moderator changing a thread title because, morality) and get called shit stirrers for that.

Anc wasn't perfect, but you can at least count the number of board drama she was a part of with one hand. Compare that with Elwood preemptively banning his ex's boyfriend or Tamar coddling her many pets like Ted Wolf and Eccentric. Yeah, I don't excuse Discouragementgate but I'll take it over goddamn Meka.

Incidentally, I've been told in the past both at this board and other places (including real life) is that is in part one reason that I make people angry and they tend not to likely.

So to summarize:

1) People who agree with me used to be able to bully, berate and shout down anyone who disagreed with us, but now they've gained enough numbers to fight back, so it's not fun anymore.

2) Wordforge can't be taken seriously because there aren't enough threads about how Obama is the worst president in all of history!!!

Here's a novel concept, if you are going to assert something as fact CHECK TO MAKE SURE BEFORE YOU SAY IT. Saying "I misremembered" isn't an excuse.

And almost all of them boil down to several things:

-mods being condescending
-letting egos get in the way
-mods being too eager to "do stuff" because reasons
-Tamar coddling her pets. Of the three reasons, this one was probably responsible for a lot of the early BS of the board.

At least we can call out staff when these situations occur and 99 percent of the time no one will be punished for it.
