What the FBI has to say about the real and grown threat of right wing domestic terrorism. https://m.fbi.gov/#https://www.fbi....errorist-threat-confronting-the-united-states
Here's a more updated graph I just completed. The "realignment didn't happen in the Civil Rights era, it happened in Bill Clinton era, and then after a period of calm jumped far more in the Obama era, when all we hear is race baiting from the White House.
The conservatives transitioned to the Republican party. The liberals like Bill Clinton and Jon Edwards remained Democrats, obviously.
That's what I thought. But Dinner is saying that all of the N.C. democratic state representatives and senators up until 2011 were conservatives.
There is not a shred of evidence for any of those claims. The U.S. sold a handful of weapons to Iran in the late 1980s but it didn't "give weapons to them".
Well, the Right-Wing Noise Machine has been proclaiming that unfreezing Iran's overseas assets is "giving them billions of dollars," so it looks like the definition of the word "give" has been doing some evolving.
That is closer to "giving" them billions than selling Iran a handful of Hawk missiles is "giving them weapons". And IIRC, "giving Iran weapons" would've been completely contrary to Reagan Admin. foreign policy goals. Wasn't the point of SELLING Iran weapons so the funds could be funneled to supply the contras in Nicaragua?
Something like that, I think. It gets pretty hard to keep track of all that administration's corruption.
That, and continuing the military aid to Egypt that has been in place since 1979 was "Obama giving the Muslim Brotherhood" hundreds of millions.
There wasn't any actual corruption. The White House was spending White House money to advance US foreign policy goals. In contrast, Hillary was selling US foreign policy in return for billions in personal gains.
http://www.rawstory.com/2015/08/new...-while-making-bombs-at-his-house-prosecutors/ Opps, another one found making bombs. Jade Helm conspiracies sure have gotten to the crazies. You'll notice b this guy is a white supremacist and that the president's race especially bothers n him.
By the way Dinner. I'm still waiting for those links to sites regarding these "historical facts". "Historical facts" should not be that hard to come by.
Google Iran-Contract and educate yourself. I not giving you links because just last week you said you hated links (at least when it was your turn to provide them).
http://www.u-s-history.com/pages/h1889.html Now this is the part where you say "I don't accept USHistory.com as a reliable source."
I read the link Garamet. It 1) Does not support the claim by Dinner that the Reagan campaign plotted to not have the American hostages released by Iran until AFTER the 1980 election. 2) Does not support the claim by Dinner that the Reagan administration's CIA sold drugs in the U.S. 3) It says basically what everyone (including me) already knew about the Iran-Contra Scandal.
But because a President, and certainly a past President, is subject to prosecution in appropriate cases, the conduct of President Reagan in the Iran/contra matter was reviewed by Independent Counsel against the applicable statutes. It was concluded that President Reagan's conduct fell well short of criminality which could be successfully prosecuted. Fundamentally, it could not be proved beyond a reasonable doubt that President Reagan knew of the underlying facts of Iran/contra that were criminal or that he made criminal misrepresentations regarding them http://fas.org/irp/offdocs/walsh/chap_27.htm
Obviously they invaded Texas, renamed it to TEXAS, and are hiding under the cover of a normal government. Bastards!
I am sure if you ask the nutjobs they will declare Obama was going to do it but they successfully deterred him.
I think I posted earlier in the thread that most people thought the conspiracy stuff was a joke, but I was surprised at even the small number of people I encountered who took the Obama "threat" seriously. Given their professions, education, and such you'd never think they'd take it seriously. Of course I've run into quite a few raging liberals who are anti-vaxxers or who believe in chemtrails.
If I've learned anything over the years, it's that education is not a safeguard against magical thinking.
Asking Americans about conspiracies is like asking them if UFOs are real. The mere act of "asking" will automatically get you 20% positive responses.
