Josh has checked into rehab. http://gawker.com/is-this-where-josh-duggar-is-in-sex-rehab-1726687142 Yesterday, a porn star claimed that she and Josh had unprotected sex twice. Don't know if the two are related, or if the porn star's even telling the truth, but there you have it.
I always wondered what the fuck "sex rehab", entailed. Do they slap your pee-pee with a rolled up newspaper, and scoldingly bark "No!! No!! Get down!! Bad!!"? Or, do they go full force, and do the Family Guy treatment of putting you naked under a low hanging ceiling fan just above your dick, and show you porn, and you have to fight the urge, or get it chopped off?
Part of me wants to laugh, but the other part thinks Ten Lubak is probably closer to the truth than he realizes, and that Josh probably went to some Christian "rehab" center to essentially "pray the sin away," not unlike the "pray the gay away" camps. One can only hope it involves self-flagellation.
He for sure did - these people have to keep everything Christian even though Christianity is probably a huge factor in terms of why he's in the mess he's in today.
Well Yahoo news purports he MAY have gone back to the religious whackaloonie rehab he was in after groping his sisters, so they'll probably sit him down give him hugs and explain how all sexual activity outside marriage is wrong, and then he'll be perfectly fine again!
Sex addiction is not real anyway. Not a recognized disorder at least. http://www.rehabs.com/pro-talk-articles/is-sex-addiction-really-a-disorder/
How would you know? Meanwhile, the latest allegation comes from porn star Danica Dillon. I'm sure @The Flashlight will dismiss this as irrelevant...
You bastard!! I first read that as "I hear the Jessa Duggar sex tape has been released.", but then read the "I've lost interest in this story.", and then saw the "Until", I was about to do a Google search for it.
Judging from the silence, I think we can assume that @The Flashlight will dismiss as irrelevant any sexual indiscretion unless it's committed by a non-Christian.
Why did gul, Diacanu, ed629, & Dinner rate my post about sex addiction as "dumb" when I provided a linked source that backs up what I posted?
Ironically "demographic destiny" being the argument that Democrats and liberals often use to claim that the conservatives and Republicans are facing inevitable long term extinction..........
That's because of the erroneous assumption that political affiliation is inherited. It isn't. The children of religious extremists very often learn to think for themselves and run as far as they can from the religion of their youth.
Oh cool. ed629 thinks your post was a winner garamet. Let's see, I became even more conservative religion wise after I grew up. So obviously it isn't a hard and fast tendency you speak of.
Didn't say it was. Everyone's different. I was raised in a strict - and abusive - Catholic family. The combination is not that unusual. And here I am, with a strong sense that the universe didn't "just happen" (no matter what @Diacanu believes), but that there is an intelligence behind it, but it for damn sure isn't the punitive Jesus I was raised with. Namaste.
Wasn't asking you to. Just pointing out that religion is very often used as an alibi for bad behavior.
Of course it is. Which does not reflect on the religion itself. In fact one could argue it shows the esteem people hold religion in given that they see it as "covering a multitude of sins" as it were. The thing is garamet, you and others love to clang the "hypocrite bell" whenever a religious person does something wrong or evil. But all are sinners. If they weren't they wouldn't need any religion in the first place.
Except that some of us manage to cleave to the "Do unto others..." bit without any formal religion. How do you explain that?
In my opinion, a person who is "moral" without religion is doing so "in spite" of that and not "because" of it.
Tell you what, if I ever get my hands on a Tardis, I'll take us through the Big Bang Barrier, and if there's a guy on the other side setting it all off with a button press, I'll owe you a Snickers and a Coke.
