I couldn't stand President Obama because I believe he was a grossly unqualified person elected president for the primary reason that he is a black person. Because voting for him allowed millions of Americans to feel good about themselves and absolve themselves of lingering white guilt over the historic treatment of blacks. That is NOT a racist position. It is a hatred of the very idea of putting a person in the most important position on Earth because of rank tokenism.
How Anonymous’s big KKK dump got muddled before it even began By Abby Ohlheiser November 2 at 7:55 PM Anonymous recently promised to share the results of its latest apparent act of vigilante activism, by sharing a list of “up to 1000″ Ku Klux Klan members and affiliates with the public. The information dump was scheduled for Nov. 5 — or Guy Fawkes day, a kind of Christmas and Fourth of July all rolled up in one for the online activist collective. But then, what appeared to be lists of names, phone numbers, and emails from that very same information cache suddenly appeared online early. Was the leak already underway? Although the seeming dump, rolled out in multiple Pastebin files, was picked up widely, there was virtually no verified information accompanying the leak. One anonymously posted Pastebin file said it contained the names of several elected officials who were “associated with either kkk or racist related,” including four U.S. senators and several city mayors. One of the elected officials on the list was mayor Madeline Rogero of Knoxville, Tenn., who released a strongly-worded statement denying that she was affiliated with the KKK, and seemingly baffled that she’d end up on a list like that in the first place: “For reasons unfathomable to me or anyone who knows me, my name is on the list.” Rogero wrote on Facebook Monday afternoon.”Given my background, my interracial family, my public record and my personal beliefs, this would be hilarious except that it is probably being seen by a lot of people who have no idea who I am.” Rogero went on to note that she began her political career “working for the rights of farm workers with Cesar Chavez,” has consistently supported diversity initiatives, and has supported LGBT rights. “In short, I don’t think the KKK would want anything to do with me.” And then, as the denials from some of those other officials rolled in, the Twitter account for what Anonymous is calling Operation KKK distanced itself from the trickle of information: The Anonymous news account that initially broadcast the Pastebin files then said that they received them from Amped Attacks, a hacker who is known for using DDoS attacks against the web presence of hate groups. On Twitter, Amped Attacks said that they were sending “proof” of the information they released to several media outlets. “They will sort out the proof and report it,” the hacker’s Twitter account added. It appears that Amped Attacks has not yet sent out the promised proof of their claims. Amped told TechCrunch that he’s not associated with Anonymous, and was acting on his own. Amped’s promises to follow through with proof haven’t convinced the Anonymous news account, who tweeted: So, was the information in the Pastebin files made up? Well, not necessarily. But it is also clear that, even if the information is from some Klan database, it’s a different story to understand where the information came from, or what it actually means. First, the Klan is smaller, and more splintered, than many assume. The organization between 4,000 and 6,000 members across all its U.S. affiliates, at most, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which declined to comment on the specifics of the purported leak. Those members are spread across more than two dozen groups claiming some sort of Klan affiliation. Gizmodo spoke to one of the individuals whose email was on a leaked list and found just how complicated the verification process can be for these things. Patricia Aiken, who runs a consulting firm that advises law enforcement unions, told Gizmodo that she believes she was signed up for a local offshoot of the KKK by Kirk Eady, a former corrections executive who went to jail. He was eventually convicted of wiretapping Aiken and others. The trial documents reviewed by Gizmodo present evidence suggesting that Eady signed up Aiken and others for a local KKK chapter. That raises the question: Does the list release contain verified members of the Klan, who would have confirmed their membership sign-ups via email or phone with the local chapter? Or could the list at least partially represent people who were signed up for the KKK by someone else, but may not have confirmed that they actually wanted to join? Aiken, along with at least one other person connected to Eady’s case, say that they never verified their “memberships.” Anonymous has a history of coordination information leaks against a wide range of groups, and this isn’t the first time they’ve targeted the KKK — last year, the group took over a KKK- affiliated Twitter account, which they later disabled. But now, with source and veracity of the latest leak in question, some are wondering if the operation is now dead, before it even began:
Anonymous is saying who ever is in charge of Amped Attack is not associated with them and has nothing to do with their not yet released data dump. They are saying it is disinformation not associated with them.
There could be something to it in the end, but I'm skeptical. FFS, some of the phone listings that have been leaked are 1-800 numbers. Lots of dumbasses got fooled by the early, unrelated leak, though. As we say in my line of work, better to be second and right than first and wrong.
Someone must have just been combing through lists of Republicans if they added Jim Gray of Lexington to the list.
Yyyyyeah, this falls under "I'll believe it when you show me your methods, and probably not even then." There are too many weird things about the leak, too many unanswered questions about the context of the names (you'll find a bunch of elected officials' names and addresses if you hack my computer, too, since sometimes my job involves corresponding with their offices), and just generally a lack of anything resembling proof.
Gee... does anyone wonder why? Maybe it has to do with telling students that black people need to listen to white people. If you say half the shit in class that you say on here then it's conceivable that some people would think you are a KKK member. But your autism probably prevents you realizing that.
Of course not, because you heard wrong. I never expected you to do more than Google it; I'm just pointing out that "not everything is online" is a weaker excuse than usual.
As much as I am entertained by this, I am really not too excited. First off it is anon. They are not really held to any standard for their gossip, and without a verifiable paper trail to confirm any of this I cannot really cite it because it is pretty much the equal of some checkout rag telling us hillarey clinton's cancerous tumor is actually bigfoots baby that aliens genetically modified to insert in her when she was abducted last week. Anon is known for a spotty record of being correct, and I am not really going to be thrilled that a bunch of liars and attention whores supposed hacked the KKK who probably has dozens of actual sites and membership lists out there. The Klan has taken a page from terrorist tactics and works as cells. There is miksinformation everywhere, and it is not like anon isn't known for making up shit. Could some of it be true, sure I even think there is a high probability of some of it being true. I just do not believe in the anon guys fully checking their sources, or even running with something explosive and believable just to make some headlines. It just is not any new proof or information because we already had a high amount of suggestive evidence these people were probably doing that anyway. In the end it is the same thing as when ANON went all SJW on scientology. If they blow each other up it is better for the world, so have at it. Just do not ask me to pat anon on the back for doing this as they are a bunch of scumbag assholes to begin with. Here is hoping the FBI fills some federal cells with both sides, and I am personally hoping for some good gunfights between the oathbreakers and some basement dwelling anon SJWs.
You are really expecting a lot from this. It did not mean anything years ago when Anon kicked scientology's dying horse. They could not damage the stupidest religion ever even with all of their secrets already exposed to the public. They are not going to do squat to the Klan either. It is a dying horse. Running over and taking credit for it being being beaten into a slow dying ending is bullshit. Anon runs in after the damage is done in these cases and tries to take credit for bringing these places down. The Klan was dead to begin with, and anon has nothing to do with that. Still, if that dying horse does happen to bite anon in the ass I will shit and giggle. In the end how hard is it to actually infiltrate and expose some hard up for members web site. It is not like those idiots weren't happy to put their name out there in some hope of being a victim like Dayton. They just exposed the dayton like members of the klan which is really like getting a crack ho to smoke a rock.
Yeah, because if someone accuses someone of something, that automatically makes it true, right? Right!?
As a member of the gay community I have run into some racist peoples. A lot of them end up being economic racists as they dislike poor people because they are normally in that brand name pompous area, and there is that idea that blacks tend to be welfare queens and ghetto whores. There is also the section of bears that is redneck pop. They like to wear camo and fish and be on the fringe of duck dynasty redneck types. They got outed a lot in the recent confederate flag thing as I know a few of them who got all uppity about wanting to fly it. I lost a huge chunk of south florida friends when that whole thing came around because I was fucking disgusted by their racism. You want to go side with the duck dynasty crowd you go do that and see how long you last before they turn on you. Don't get me wrong, I do love myself some outdoor guys and being outdoors, but you have to be picky and watch out for the bigots. So yes it can happen in the gay community. Hell, I have even run into gays who hate and want to beat up trans people. Despite how it sounds hypocritical, you have to be prejudiced about prejudiced people if you do not want to be next to a scumbag bigot who is going to bring you down by hurting your friends. I tried for a long time to give a bit to the prejudiced people in order to keep peace, and every single time they took that opening and used it to attack people I care about. I won't do it anymore, and you can quote me and call me a hypocrite for that, but I am not ending up having to explain to another friend how I opened them up for a backstabbing attack. I watch my friends backs, and if you ever go for that backstab you are coming up with a stump because I was wrong about letting you be my friend.
Not necessarily - Zimmerman (hunted down and shot the infant Trayvon like a deranged cyborg) tutored minority kids. So having an interracial marriage might just be the perfect cover for being a KKK member in good standing. Also that cop that threw an innocent girl and her desk across a school gymnasium then slam-dunked her into a basketball net has an interracial marriage.
That does not help when you are too stupid to listen to them There is Cruz, Gomert, Paul, West, Boner, Bachman, santorum, and those are just the really popular ones who have terminal foot in mouth disease. Even decently intelligent people like McCain end up with a Sarah Palin even though I am sure he had some intelligent staffers.
There is little relationship between intelligence and speaking ability. I have no doubt that Barack Obama is intelligent but he would be lost without a teleprompter. Neither Ronald Reagan nor George W. Bush was unusually intelligent but they could speak in public quite well. Jimmy Carter was arguably the second or third most intelligent president in the 20th century yet his public speaking was always suspect. The Sarah Palin fiasco was a result of McCain obsession with putting his best friend Joe Liebermann on the ticket. Everyone was fine with it but they could not possibly reconcile Liebermann's pro abortion rights position or see a way to make it work, so to generate buzz for the McCain ticket they chose Palin even though she was very poorly vetted at the time.
"There is also the section of bears that is redneck pop. They like to wear camo and fish" - I've never seen a bear wearing camo! But by the way that they figure out ways to break in and steal food, take over swimming pools, and tear up hunting tree stands and trail cameras....I wouldn't put anything past them. As for Congress, I'm praying for a few "snow days" this year that shut down D.C. - staying home is the only time Congress functions.
Ahh, the old teleprompter lie. What would the wingnuts do if they were told the truth that Obama uses a teleprompter less than Bush or Reagan? Proba ly just pretend the truth wasn't the truth just like they do with everything (name the topic; climate change, health care, that spending has been held flat for seven of the last eight years... They get it all wrong and then just pretend reality is not real for them).
Reagan rarely used a teleprompter, though he occasionally used little index cards. Back then teleprompters were big tube TV's.
Dinner, is there ANY criticism of President Obama you would ever consider valid if it came from a white man?
I have no doubt that a gay person can be racist. Racists come in all types of people. But a gay man as part of the KKK? That stretches credibility. Even if he's racist the KKK is going to be racist against him and not let him join. This is why I'm not buying that this guy is a KKK member.
