I don't insult God or his creation. You however feel like you can hurl snide insults at me with impunity.

Calling something "love" does not make it moral.

So if I try to knock out a UFC heavyweight contender and fail, it's because I lack faith? :chris:
But if I catch a (very) lucky break and catch that chin and he goes down it's because god was on my side? I guess it all depends on who is driving the narrative whether it's a lucky shot or a miracle. Regardless over a long enough time span the laws of physics and math run roughshod over faith & miracles every time.

The thing that you don't understand, and maybe won't ever understand in this life, is that you are the one who is hurling insults with impunity.

It's like the shit you hear about when someone is sick.

A kid gets something that usually kills kids, they die. It was God's will. Yeah, what an asshole, let an innocent kid die who has never hurt anyone or has done anything immoral.

And adult that's pretty much an evil shit, and has done plenty to hurt others gets something usually kills. They get better, God performed a miracle. Why let an innocent die, and save someone who as far from innocent as possible. Sounds like someone just likes to fuck with people for his own amusement.

Take a gander at the your "Greatest Hits Thread" and put it all together. There's a reason you have one and no one else does. And it's not because you are SUPER AWESOME SPECIAL FAVORITE ONE OF ALMIGHTY GOD DESTINED TO GIVE JESUS A RUN FOR HIS MONEY.

No explanation can help, if your beliefs truly rest on faith without reason. By definition, their content is arbitrary.

Sometimes bad things happen to good people.

It pretty much has to be that way. Otherwise many people would obey God for material reasons only and not sincerely. This was the charge that Satan leveled at God regarding Job. God pointed out that Job was perfect and upright. Satan basically said "no wonder. You protect him in every way and give him material blessings beyond measure".

Calling something "moral" while hating does not make it love either. In other words if you claim to be "all powerful" yet still choose violence to get your message across how are you any more loving and moral? The weak man must resort to violence because he has no other means to survive. A powerful man has the benefit of the doubt and implied respect/fear and can choose non-violence as his normal means of living but if he does not, is he morally stronger or weaker?

The Greatest Hits thread exists because there are some people on this board intent on harassing me by continually using things I've posted out of context. Basically lying on their part.

Certain of these people are like Ed629 who years ago stated that it was basically his goal in life to stalk and harass me because he thought my very existence was an insult. IIRC Chad and Faceman have said things similar to that.

    Human values apply to humans.

Humans can't apply them to God.

That's an interesting hypothesis. Would you consider the notion that there may be other reasons as to why that thread exists?

And for amusement you forgot that part, now you're the one taking things out of context. But you are the one that said he was going to go after people IRL. I've never done that, nor do I intend to. You take this place way too seriously.

And how can quoting what you said be lying? You said it, if you don't want to be seen as a idiot, don't say idiotic things. Don't want to be seen as a hypocritical ass, stop saying hypocritical shit.

And therein lies the rub. You are interpreting something based on a translation of a translation of a translation, and so on. You've no idea of what the original says, or if your interpretation is correct.

And yet, God stuck with the Israelites, despite their lack of faith. Well, at least until his son got nailed to a tree. Then God decided he'd had enough.

Plucking something out of a 10 page thread with 100 responses is taking it out of context if you don't include the material that came before.

And I've never understood this obsession with trying to "isolate" what happens online from "real life". If I spend time on it, then as far as I'm concerned it is "real life" and I do take it seriously.

    Anyone should.

This board is full of people who don't share common beliefs. Who don't agree on numerous issues. And yet no one else here has a Greatest Hits Thread. Perhaps there is something more going on that would explain your unique situation?

Whoa, whoa......obey god sincerely? If the threat of eternal damnation in a lake of fire is always, always in your subconscious then saving your ass is the only measure of sincerity. Take that hell threat away and see how fast that sincerity hits the highway. And correct me if I'm wrong but those preachers/popes/etc. who parlay their religious expertise and power into even more power & riches sure don't seem to be suffering - when will they be put to the test like Job? Since I've been on this planet only one of them (Jim Baker) has been pitched a high hard one and driven into obscurity, and that's because he got caught. God wouldn't have done shit to him - his own bad luck did him in.

I'm sorry, but in what context can advocating for genocide be considered "good"?
