all other considerations aside - that WAS kinda disturbing. Not sure what to make of it.

I have no problem with it. He is swaying to the music as he sings, not really dancing, and Michelle, among others, smiles at him as he sings. It looks like he enjoys a good rendition of Battle Hymn of the Republic. I've always seen Bush's personality as "sweet," in that he often appears to be trying to make the best out of any given situation. I can't fault that.

I've been to funerals where the music has affected me, and it was never as anything disrespectful. So I see this as being blown out of proportion in yet one more reason for people to be "TEH OUTRAGED!!" and nothing more. To put it another way, it's at the top of Gawker's site list, and those people are backbiting gossipy motherfuckers.

Then came Obama's speech, which started out great and devolved into the usual blaming of white bigotry and such, with constant use of "me", "my", and "I".

He's also the only one wearing a blue suit at the funeral. Makes him stand out more.

It would work with the six-year-old, if you'd brought him up right and if you'd explained where you were going and why before the fact.

Obama was too clueless to know why we play Battle Hymn of the Republic when someone strikes us. Hint: Bush and the Pentagon's top brass sang it in the National Cathedral before we went on the warpath after 9/11.

Indeed, today Obama spent three hours meeting with the BLM leaders who are instigating these police killings.

With our choices this election cycle I almost expect Obama to show up on TV around March or April stoned/drunk as hell saying "you fuckers miss me yet?" He's a shoo-in to be seen in retrospect as a great president compared to the living FUBAR we are sure to undergo in November.
