Does Dubya even know where he is? Disco Disco! Also, watch Laura Bush being embarassed and Michelle Obama being classy. I really don't hope that it's demetia. Firstly because nobody deserves that particular condition and secondly demetia would be an easy way out of the bad conscience. I mean, he does have a bad conscience. Does he?
I have no problem with it. He is swaying to the music as he sings, not really dancing, and Michelle, among others, smiles at him as he sings. It looks like he enjoys a good rendition of Battle Hymn of the Republic. I've always seen Bush's personality as "sweet," in that he often appears to be trying to make the best out of any given situation. I can't fault that. I've been to funerals where the music has affected me, and it was never as anything disrespectful. So I see this as being blown out of proportion in yet one more reason for people to be "TEH OUTRAGED!!" and nothing more. To put it another way, it's at the top of Gawker's site list, and those people are backbiting gossipy motherfuckers.
Then came Obama's speech, which started out great and devolved into the usual blaming of white bigotry and such, with constant use of "me", "my", and "I".
He's also the only one wearing a blue suit at the funeral. Makes him stand out more. I don't think it matters, just an observation.
I've seen it suggested he relapsed and was either drunk or high. What else do retirees do with their time?
It's that sappy grin on his face that's more disturbing than anything else. It seems to be his Face for All Occasions these days. Someone needs a stay at the Betty Ford Clinic...
I mean, shit...even the Obama hate has died off this past year....mostly because we really are habing to choose between a Douche and a turd sandwich this year. Frankly, that Trump has had the clear runaway victory he has so far makes me long for the days when I thought Bush was the biggest danger to this country.
Maybe he's had a stroke? Anyway, add me to the list of people who don't think much of this criticism. People are moved by music in strange ways, he likely didn't even realize he was doing this.
If he was six-year-old and I was holding his hand, I'd lean down very quietly and say "You need to stop that. You can dance later. People here are very sad, and you need to respect that." It would work with the six-year-old, if you'd brought him up right and if you'd explained where you were going and why before the fact. Not sure how to handle that in a 70-year-old who spent eight years in the public eye and doesn't know how to comport himself. "There'll be no ice cream for you tonight"?
Obama was too clueless to know why we play Battle Hymn of the Republic when someone strikes us. Hint: Bush and the Pentagon's top brass sang it in the National Cathedral before we went on the warpath after 9/11. Indeed, today Obama spent three hours meeting with the BLM leaders who are instigating these police killings.
With our choices this election cycle I almost expect Obama to show up on TV around March or April stoned/drunk as hell saying "you fuckers miss me yet?" He's a shoo-in to be seen in retrospect as a great president compared to the living FUBAR we are sure to undergo in November.
Your ophthalmologist called. They've moved your appointment up to tomorrow due to concerns that you're driving with severe myopia. Yanno, his old man's 92 and wheelchair-bound, and even with the weird socks, he still projects dignity. Pity he couldn't instill it in his sons.
I think it's more he thought it was going to be an old timey Baptist or Pentecostal service and got into the spirit. Goofy, but nothing other then that. Oh, by the way, Bernie's dead, so change your avatar.
Big talk given there is not a single shred of evidence that President George W. Bush ever used cocaine.
