https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aaron_Hernandez This murdering scum had NFL Hall of Fame level talent but threw it all away because he wanted to be a "gangsta". The final act played out today. Total waste.
The timing of his suicide seems strange - he just won his murder trial, and there were rumblings that his first conviction might not survive an appeal. Maybe the prison guards decided to take things into their own hands. Either way, yes, he was a piece of shit.
The Rolling Stone piece made him seem like a complete psychopath so not really too torn up: http://www.rollingstone.com/feature/the-gangster-in-the-huddle However, he just was found not-guilty of the double murder so the timing seems a bit weird.
I did hear his legal fees for the last trial had rendered him nearly bankrupt. People have killed themselves for less I suppose. Doesn't change that he wasted a very promising life. And for what? So he could pretend to be tough? Why does a young man even care about that? I never cared about it.
Good, I mean if you had there may have been all kind of braggart tales of you tackling shoplifters, throttling cancer sufferers and the like. Thankfully this board has never seen such posts!
I put a shoplifter in a chokehold only at the direct orders of my superior at work. I never throttled a cancer sufferer. I referred to "manhandling" a lawyer (who died from cancer YEARS later) where "manhandled" referred to besting him in presenting my case to the school board. Any idiot would understand that. Sure, I've been in some fights. But I never started them. And I never tried to intentionally hurt someone. Fighting is generally never worth the trouble.
Running to his safe space in another state hilariously after murdering an old woman, comparing dick sizes with teenage football players in the locker room...
The pathetic part was ESPN somehow sympathizing with his death. As if they're afraid to say "this guy ended up dead, as he should have". Unreal.
According to one article I read, he was still serving time for another murder that he was not cleared from.
Wonder if he did this on purpose to coincide with the Pats visiting the White House today. He had to be aware of that. Talk about one of the all time biggest wasted opportunities though. If he hadn't been a murdering douchebag "gangster" the guy could have made $50-$100 million over his career, probably have several Super Bowl rings, maybe even a Hall of Fame spot. He was a hell of a football player that was playing with the greatest QB of all time. Unreal, what an idiot.
It's stuff like this why, despite enjoying tweaking you, I have no ill will towards you despite your nutso worldview. If you want a pulpit, get ordained. Otherwise get used to the fact your on an interactive board. Although maybe we could do with a daily message from yourself, call it A View From the Kitchens, the possibilities for unintentional satire would be endless.
Interaction is fine. But I would prefer it be positive. I can even deal with negative reactions if it didn't seem so knee jerk toward me by so many here with no substance to it whatsoever.
Problem is you've had positive feedback, but perceive it as negative as it is towards your attitude. What you're looking for isn't positive feedback, but feedback that reinforces your worldview. Given how parochial yours is, and the global nature of the web, and indeed WF's membership, you're not going to get that. You've earned a lot of the kneejerk reactions. Learn to roll with them, maybe even recognise some of the issues and laugh at yourself a little. Everyone has their own flaws and ridiculous aspects, you just bring a few more to the table than most.
You lived without it for a while now, I'd get used to that not changing any time soon. And that kind of feedback is not a good thing. Being challenged is how you grow, otherwise you remain little more than the man-child that gets mocked so much. I can't say if you're autistic or not, but it's plain you're underdeveloped both mentally and emotionally - and that's not name calling, just observations over the years as we've all grown and you've just become entrenched - and thinking and musing on those challenges are the kind of things that will help you develop. You can be well-rounded in areas other than body shape
Meh, a convicted killer hangs himself rather than serves his life sentence. My gives a fuck must be broken.
If people truly don't believe in the death penalty they should be lamenting the states failure to keep him alive until the end of his natural life in prison. That is the states responsibility.
I wasn't thinking of you personally but of others who have talked about opposing the death penalty and then say "they'll probably get what's coming to them in prison".
