okay - I don't know jack squat about cell phones. Anywho I bought an LG-B470 flip phone from AT&T.
It was draining the battery super fast. I took my wife to the AT&T shop and while I was in the nearby Target store rest room (AT&T doesn't have a public rest room and I need to piss every 1/2 hour or so) a staff member told my wife "oh here's your problem.....blah blah blah now I fixed it" but of course she didn't write down what he did/said. Well now I'm wondering if her phone starts draining the battery faster than should be expected, how I can fix the settings to correct it. Of course (surprise surprise) my particular question isn't in the manual that came with the phone. But the dude adjusted some kind of setting so that it didn't drain the battery at five times the rate of a normal flip phone.

No, she wasn't taking videos - just receiving & transmitting normal calls, but the phone was dead every day until the guy changed some setting, and then the phone was only needing a recharge every few days.

Well now I just recharged my wife's phone but I'm paranoid that I may have put it back to the setting where it drains the battery faster. Any thoughts?

Turn off Bluetooth and the WiFi unless you need it.

ummm.....I don't have Bluetooth or wifi - it's just a simple "breaking bad" style 20 dollar flip phone. No internet access, just phone calls and incoming text.

It does have bluetooth, that's a possibility. First thing they suggest turning off. There are other settings to play with.

    LG B470 battery tutorial.

Just go into metro pcs and get a new phone. They will give you a $70 credit just for switching and you can get unlimited everything 4g lte for $50 a month. $80 for two lines.

I replaced my crappy ZTE phone with an LG k20 plus for $50.

thanks yes that link was very helpful! I wouldn't even think about Bluetooth since I have no need for it. Thanks Dinner but I'm fine with a simple plan of talk & text for 30 dollars a month.
If a simple phone frustrates me I sure don't need to be using a smart phone.
