A Chart to Help Those on the Fence About Punching Nazis

Basically, what I've gotten from this highly interesting and verbose thread is:

1. Anna test sounding to see if it's acceptable to chimp out on White people she doesn't like, and

2. A constellation of armchair lefties doing an imitation of this:



There's an occasional spattering of common sense intermingled in this shouting match of social confirmation, but not much.

Varies by state. Some places assault is inclusive of the battery which is not a separate thing there. But yeah, FF should be more precise in general.

The video immediately before the event does indeed show a young white male hitting the Dodge Charger with either a bat or a pole. Video at link.

You can see the car going, the man hits the car with a bat, and then the car peels out as the driver stomps on the gas.

Not an unreasonable reaction.

Amazing how these "anti fascists" have managed to enable "Nazis" to make a semi plausible case for being the victims.

I think it was an unreasonable reaction. That said, it is a piece of evidence worthy of consideration.

In that video the car is already moving towards the protesters and someone swings out and hits the back of it as it passes him.

So the car is already barreling down the road towards the protesters and protesters are already scrambling to move out of the way, and one person striking the car while in the car's blindspot suddenly excuses this killing? It's quite clear the driver of the car was already executing his mission to ram into the crowd.

Well, the car is on a street.

As I noted before, in the seconds before the impact, the driver is really not going very fast at all, and people aren't "scrambling" to get out of the way. It looks like few people on that street even took note of him. You also have to wonder why he rams his car into another vehicle, which could've disabled his car right there.

I don't have any trouble accepting that this guy fully intended to ram people and, IF that's the case, I'm happy to see him hung out to dry.

However, I am open to changing my opinion if the set of known facts change.

You did notice that the first part of the video is slowed down, right? Look at the frame rate and listen to the difference in audio. It would be interesting to see the full video unaltered. Also, read the subsequent description of the video--it specifically says the video speed is altered at certain points.

I see the person strike the car, although it seems to happen too soon before the first impact to have caused any reaction on the part of the driver.

True, but there are serveral cars in front of hm doing the same thing. I can't really tell what speed he is going in that video but I distinctly here tires peeling out right after the guy hits the back of his car with that bat.

Edit: Then again, looking at the other video it sounds like he was speeding even before that happened.

Yes that is true but the rest of his statements that he was beat on for no reason other than being black is false.

Almost all the videos shown are chopped up to take Deandre's role in the fight out of the video.

Both sides were trading barbs at each other than some guy in a pink shirt attacked the Nazi scum with a bat. That started the fight.

All of them should be arrested for being idiots but the media is not bothering to cover the role the counter protesters played in dtarting the fight.

I don't see how the video could have been doctored enough to change what happened with the car.

The video was released almost immediately when the incident happened.

I'd be shocked if the protesters managed to change the video in any way before releasing it in the public domain.
