This is "Shit, charges are coming let us try to muddy the water and distract the dullards with nonsense." It won't work outside of the right wing echo chamber.
Yes, this is the more interesting of the two at present - my guess is Manafort may flip on similar stuff, unless he's got evidence that Trump properties were used for money laundering as well and that Trump knows it. Papadopoulos' plea transcript mentions several meetings not just with his contact "The Professor" but also a "Female Russian National" - who claimed to have dirt on Hilary - the woman Trump Jr met with at the tower?
I suppose the other angle is if Manafort and/or Flynn (especially Flynn) admit that they told Trump they'd broken the law and he tried to shield them - we know in Flynn's case he really had to be pushed to dump him. If a sitting US President willingly covered up illegal activity, even out of misplaced loyalty...
Yes, but this is a nice little tug around trump's leash. The republicans can fry these guys and make it look like they did something. This is just timed to tell trump to keep out of the primaries and leave the party alone. We knew someone was going down for this. Even trump knew someone was going down for this. Now they have the links to trump on trial and they control what deals they offer. If this was really something they would have trump's son or Jared in custody.
1. I hope this eventually leads to the ouster of DJT. I'd rather have Pence as President anyway. 2. Hillary still lost, and it's all her fault. SHE LOST TO TRUMP. Seriously. She lost. TO TRUMP. How bad does someone have to fail to pull that off?
All you have to be is a crooked, lying, murderous old cunt. She lost because people just didn’t like her.
It's not really her fault that middle America is full of ignorant hicks that love falling for snake oil salesmen and voting against their own interests.
FWIW, I’ve never thought Russian activities had much if anything to do with the outcome of the election. I also think it doesn’t matter, it’s still serious enough that we should all want to get to the bottom of it.
No, I don’t much like when the authoritarian regime of a hostile foreign power attempts to manipulate my country’s elections and subvert the democratic process.
It has been hilarious listening to rightforge claim there is no collusion when we know one person, who has turned state evidence after getting caught lying to the FBI, SPECIFICALLY lied about the campaign trying to set up meetings with Russian officialsin order to collude. We know Trump was told the Russians hacked the DNC yet Trump, for some odd reason, kept lying and publicly claiming it was not Russia and that was after they had meetings with Russian officials specifically to get the hacked emails. Lastly, we have at least one meeting publicly known (but we now know the indictment says meetings plural) which happened involving just about every top person in the Trump campaign which Trump kept lying and denying ever happened. We have already established that Trump sought to collude and now the only thing left to determine is how successful their efforts at collusion were. We also know, from all 17 US Intelligence agencies, that the Russian government was trying to unlawful influence the outcome of the US election to harm Hillary Clinton and to support Donald Trump. This are facts not opinions.
I think most of them just didn't like Hillary. I can't blame them either because she was a terrible candidate from the beginning and everyone with at least half a brain knew that. Most candidates if theor numbers are low can campaign more and get those numbers up but Hillary came off so badly the more she spoke the lower her numbers got so that her own campaign officials tried to keep her quiet and stop making things worse by opening her giant mouth.
You have a lot of catching up to do. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_interference_in_the_2016_United_States_elections
Yeah. It is. It doesn't MATTER what the rest of your quote said (yes, I DID read it). It IS her fault. People didn't like her. People didn't trust her. And that was entirely her fault. Her fault alone. And she (and you) STILL don't get it.
She had that election handed to her on a silver platter and still managed to screw it up - any Democrat other than Hillary runs and its a Democrat sitting in the White House. One of the most embarrassing defeats in political history.
On election night last year, I remember @Nova paraphrasing an ABC political analyst on Facebook: "The Democrats can only blame themselves. They ran the *ONE* person who could actually lose to Donald Trump."
If any Democrat could defeat Trump, why couldn't any of his 19 Republican competitors come close to doing so? And why couldn't "any other Democrat" defeat Hillary in the first place? I know the DNC was opposed to Sanders winning, but he wasn't her only competition.
C'mon man - you know that Hillary stacked the deck in her favor and the DNC was on her side - Wikileaks helped prove that - Bernie never had a chance and neither did any of the other nominees that no one else can remember because they didn't even put up so much as a squeaky fart against her. The whole thing was pre-ordained, it was "her time". She blew it, with all that ego and entitlement. No one forced her not to reach out to crucially important swing states like Michigan. No one forced her to look as out of touch with the general population as she did. She lost to a simplistic buffoon reality tv show star who literally got caught saying he grabbed women by the pussy mid campaign. Silver platter.
