And its been canceled. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2018...but-its-producers-want-to-find-it-a-new-home/
How stupid can SyFy be to not have these issues solved before having the show on the channel? This is actually a good Sci-Fi show and now barring Netflix or Amazon picking it up we are probably screwed.
Praying for a Netflix pickup. Which makes sense, as Netflix has recently focused more of their development $ on Sci-Fi and Fantasy offerings.
stupid enough to sign the original deal which gave them revenue rights to ONLY the first run broadcast...which is why they are not making enough to stay in the deal. I have little doubt Amazon or Netflix will pick it up, and for a much more profitable deal. Chances are they were interested in the first place until SyFy agreed to a sucker's deal to get it but that's just me speculating
It's not a done deal, but it sounds promising. I was getting ready to delete this season from my DVR and now I'm glad I didn't.
Given that they have the back catalog and how much Bezos is spending on his space program, it's not really surprising.
the reset in this last episode that, I'm told, is likely to lead to interstellar travel has me even more jazzed for this show than I already was.
last night's episode was so fucking good I want to start a youtube channel just so you can listen to me sit and babble for an hour about how great it was. NRM (NotReallyMiller) is taking a run at Amos for my favorite character. "Calculus, ameoba...monkey, Mozart"
I'm...2/3rds(?)...finished with the season and am liking it just as much as the previous two. I'm so glad that Amazon has picked it up.
I reiterate what I said after the first season. This may well be the best space based SF series ever produced.
I'm not sure I can argue against that, at least among the ones I've seen. Firefly, of course, is great but we'll never know if they could've maintained it beyond the few episodes we got. BSG started great, but was...uneven...IMHO, especially toward the end.
The obvious one is Star Trek. I’d say Trek has them all beat just because of the legacy involved, but in recent times, I’d say BSG is the best. I’m not sure what your beef is with BSG so I’m going to hold out judgement, but I have no major issues with BSG.
I enjoyed the first couple of seasons of BSG, but later on it was apparent that, unlike the Cylons, Moore didn't really have a plan and it got too soap opera-y. They didn't stick the landing, IMHO.
I hope when season 3 ends, they put out a 3-season box set, so I can rewatch it with all the fucks intact. ForGET you!
Really enjoyed this season, though the ending seemed a little rushed. Maybe one more episode would've made some of the plotting a little more plausible. I'm looking forward to seeing what Amazon does with the series. I'm actually kinda sad now that this season has ended.
