I used to be a regular contributor, posting just about every day, often multiple times a day. But over the past few years I've dropped back to where I only even look at this place once in a blue moon, and might post something maybe once every few months. And it seems like, every time I come back, it's just the same old dozen or so TrekBBS expats sitting round the campfire bitching over the same stuff that's been bitched over a thousand times already. So yeah... does Wordforge ever get any new blood, at all? Or is it just a secluded hermit forum that nobody but us even knows is here? I mean I don't visit that often these days as I said, but I do visit from time to time... and on some level I think it would be kinda sad if WF were to eventually just whither away and fade out.
No one joins internet forums these days, unless they are niche interest. General discussion has either movedd to social media, or a handful of large platforms like Reddit.
To think, if that line was all you'd posted then we'd have a new record for the highest number of "Thank You!" responses.
Not often and that is part of the problem. Small boards lose members but rarely gain new members so the place becomes inbred.
It is very hard to have a conversation on a place like Reddit though as everything just gets buried in an avalanche of posts.
