The world actually isn't flat, not many people know this. Democrats like Mr. Mercator have been trying to pretend it's flat and can fit inside your glove box. But the world is yuge and round, it's a yuge deal very bigly. I've seen it from Air Force One. We

Is Trump proposing Spain invade various African nations to build this wall?

Fucking hell, it gets more farcical by the day.

I wouldn't be surprised if during his briefing Cueta and Melilla came up, but he was only paying half attention and thought it meant Spain had control of large portions of north Africa.

She's popular in my atheist circles.
And yes, Ivana did say Donald raped her, and I believe her.
She walked the story back after he bullied her, but we know he fucking operates.

Tweet said it was under oath. How could she "walk it back" without committing perjury?

Even Googling "Ivana Trump rape", and getting this article, I can't piece it all together.
But she DID tell the story of him raping her over his painful scalp reduction.
I heard it in a podcast, and I remember it at the time, whenever the divorce was.

IIRC, it was part of the divorce case where it came out. So, civil court, not criminal court. As for "walking it back," she gave a mealy-mouthed "Please respect my privacy, the divorce was a difficult time for me and things said during the hearings may not have been completely accurate." response to questions about what happened. Additionally, people in the US are rarely tried for perjury.

Irrelevant. You depose under oath then it's under oath, even if it's a sworn affidavit outside of proceedings.

That's not a walk back - and failure to try doesn't mean there is no perjury (albeit that statement doesn't really commit to any firm inaccuracies).

I don't know about the UK, but in the US, the standards for civil cases are far lower than criminal cases, so things tend to get admitted into court proceedings which wouldn't be allowed in criminal cases.

It's a paraphrase of what she said, I've just come off a 60-hour work week doing hard physical labor, so I'm not about to go googling around for the specifics.

And as late as the 80's, judges didn't consider marital rape "a thing".

There was actually a rather infamous case in TN, in the '80s, where a judge agreed that a woman had been raped by her husband, but because TN law said that this wasn't a crime, there was nothing he could do to punish her husband.

Skip to the 2:40 mark. John Cleese perfectly summarises the rest of the world's attitudes to @Zombie, @Paladin and their bubble buddies. Note that Cleese used to live in the US for years.

No. Just in the past hour I have posted a legitimate debating post to you in the Kavenaugh thread and you skipped past it and resorted to two bit nonsense. Intellectual cowardice and running away from debates is Dayton, and that's what you're doing.

But thanks for confirming you were full of shit all along. Don't worry, with Dayton gone, clearly I'll have much more time to call you on your bullshit... ;)

The accusation was investigated and clearly it's false. It's full of holes and as time goes on those holes get bigger.

You just don't want to accept that Ford is a liar. Not my problem.

And we appreciate the taxes he paid/money he spent while he lived here! Since the rest of the world shares his attitude towards Trump he can continue to spend money in those locations now and be fully welcomed.

I don't know if Ford is a liar, but she's not accurate enough to be credible. Something.....somewhere....traumatic was done to her by....someone at some point in time. Of this we can be fairly certain anyway.

So you’re saying that because you think it’s false it doesn’t warrant an investigation?

As someone who has dealt with a lot of domestic violence cases I find your attitude very disturbing.

It’s the casual dismissal of allegations that is worry. This has been the problem all along. The presumption of innocence must be upheld. But what you and Trump are doing is not giving the benefit of the doubt. You are engaging is flat out character assassination, and this sort of shit is what got us the #MeToo witch hunts in the first place. But you and your orange hero are too dumb to see it.

As a soldier I would have thought that you would have the intelligence to consider that not every person who goes through a traumatic experience retains a perfect memory.

Why are you so ready to play judge and jury before the FBI look into the case?

No, I don't expect a perfect memory - but something above a shred of a memory is required to narrow down exactly what happened in any situation. I say let the FBI look into the case. I've been investigated/interviewed by the FBI, the OSI, and the CID before (to include polygraphed a time or two) and these investigation generally put an exclamation point on the cases, so I think it needs to be done.
