Acid and silly siben have potential for great therapy in PTSD and related problems. This could turn out to be huge win in mental health and psychotherapy, particularly if it helps wean America away from some of the awful side effects of anti depression pharma products.

It's been shown to alleviate depression to some degree. The few times I've tried it I didn't really feel any of mine for a week or so afterwards. I've heard that microdosing gives you that as well without the trippy effects. I know some tests were done on war vets with severe PTSD and they improved dramatically. MDMA also has shown some promise as well.

Although the trip is a blast.

I have a friend whose son was tripping on LSD (not the same substance, I realize, but similar effects) and became convinced someone was chasing him, which led to him jumping off of a bridge, breaking his back, and being immobilized for several weeks. So I hope there's a way to control the effects better when production is brought into a legal setting.

I couldn't even leave my bedroom while tripping on LSD. I was too busy exploring the depths of a Daft Punk album. The outside world might as well not existed.

I know more than a few folks who swear by the micro dosing (0.1-0.2g at leisure), it's analogous to having a half pint as far as mind alteration goes.
Acid, I'd be a bit more leary (ha!) of. My experience with it was it was great for a long time (80s, with a lot of microdot then 90s when blotter made a serious comeback), but suddenly wasn't any more. Like my brain had taken in its assigned quota and wasn't going to get anything good from it any longer. Met a few folks over the years who'd gotten there but kept going anyway... didn't see the benefit.

    @tafkats
for contrast, a recreational dose of 'shrooms is comparable to a light beer buzz, the acid is more like shotgunning a mickey of tequila.

I've been known to explore the depths of certain pieces of music (Nightwish and Steven Wilson come to mind, though a few Pat Metheny and Classical pieces have done the same) without the use of anything.

if it ends up benefitting people (especially vets) why not legalize/regulate it? I have no interest in it recreationally but it should be legal as long as nobody gets behind the wheel. When I was stationed in Alaska we had a guy in my unit who used to take psychedelic drugs then bow hunt for black bear.
That's just wrong on a couple of different levels.

    also...

    so...
should we expect amnesty for those charged with possession of S1?
    expunged criminal records?
how about financial damages for those who have been imprisoned because the government/law was wrong the entire time?

maybe in your country. In the US you will have to spend BIG money for the things you listed, especially being reimbursed financially!
That's one of my beefs with the justice circus: let's say oldfella gets arrested for something he didn't do. Oldfella accidentally dials the wrong number during his "one phone call" and calls a Burger King instead of his wife. Too bad, so sad, that was your one phone call buddy! :storm:So oldfella sits in jail losing money because he can't work until his family starts making phone calls and finally tracks him down or sees him in The Jail Report. Now his family can bail him out....but not until payday! Payday comes and oldfella has the chance to hire a skilled, experienced lawyer. He can't use a public defender because the justice circus has a term for cheapskates who use a public defender......that term is "convict!" As luck would have it oldfella can't work because his security clearance is temporarily revoked pending the trial outcome. The trial is of course The State Of Georgia versus oldfella and they cannot prove their case - oldfella is declared innocent! The State Of Georgia has lost. Good luck in your future endeavors oldfella, and don't let the courtroom door hit you in the ass on the way out! Georgia LOST! They fucking accused me and were wrong! They chose to fight me, I didn't choose to fight them! So pay me all the money I spent on a lawyer and my lost wages! :shakefist: Bottom line if the state can't prove their case, it's all on their dime to include compensation for the winner. Just my two cents!

    good.
the system that injures people should compensate them.

    here's one for ya.

back in college I got nailed with about $60 worth of weed at the school pub. This was in October.

By April, when the charge was dropped, I'd made five appearances thus blowing my semester (all studio classes-miss three, you fail. Don't pass all of'em, don't advance to the next semester).

Legal aid works a little better here, in that good/capable lawyers are required to accept it... at least to a point. My mid profile representation worked the case on technicalities rather than the actual possession.

Of course, between the 6 cops they sent out to arrest me after I'd already been detained, the night of being transferred between three cops shops and the court cells, multiple appearances, and the legal bill, it probably cost the Ontario taxpayers about $20 000 in 1994 terms.

Do they really only give you one phone call? That seems a little unrealistic given that 9/10 people you could call are likely not going to be available for anything but a message to call you back. There are over 50 police stations in Toronto, and at least half a dozen provincial offences courts...

I'm going to guess he was doing 'shrooms as they'd either be local/in door or coming up from BC. More interesting chemical drugs back then and that remote were difficult and expensive to come by... not too mention, of dubious quality. Heh-and yeah, that's not even considering how incapacitated heavier hallucinogens would've left him. Definitely not equipped for archery-LOL.

I (sort of) recall the one time I inhaled deeply from a kilo bag of mushrooms-then forgot about it and rode my motorbike home. Not one of my better experiences on that thing (bike or 'shrooms) once I hit rush hour on the Gardiner (an elevated highway).

well Spaceturkey that "one phone call" varies greatly from county to county, state to state, etc. When my son got arrested (long story) in our county and it was time for his phone call he told them he's not good at memorizing numbers (and stress doesn't help of course!) and all his numbers were in his phone.
They basically said "tough shit" and refused to let him have his phone back to look up any numbers. :( My son had been 100 percent cooperative up to that point through the whole arrest too. :( So my son was getting worried that his family would wonder where he was since he never made it back home. He was trying to remember any numbers but was drawing a blank. But as luck would have it, one of his buddies he got arrested with overheard the conversation and a jailer who was nice let him borrow a pen (under supervision of course) and my son's buddy quickly scrawled my phone number on his hand. Thus when my son's buddy walked past my son's cell he flashed his hand to my son so he would be able to call me. Of course my son has a very limited short term memory/working memory like myself when it comes to numbers, and forgot it by the time his jailer took him to the phone! So my son ended up misdialing the last digit and got some strangers voice mail.....too bad, that was your call! :(

However my son's buddy got through to one of his friends and this started a chain of calls - "hey! Did you hear the news? Jimmy, Roy & Tom got arrested and are in the Columbia County lockup!" - that eventually made it to my daughter's phone (living with us at the time) and she woke me up. I was relieved that at least he & his buddies were alive & safe! :whew: I called the jail to confirm it and zipped down there to bond him out.

The next morning began the search for his car. His car you ask? Yes...it's standard procedure to tow your car when they tote you off to jail assuming you didn't walk to the place you got arrested. They clerk said she didn't know which tow truck driver took the car, because the cop who arrested him was on the night shift so he wasn't there right now. You get more flies with honey than with vinegar, so I kept my temper lest I get arrested! I convinced her to research it and she handed me a copy of the arrest report (with no info on who actually towed the car) and a business card from her desk drawer with "XYZ TOWING" and said "I think these are the guys we usually use." :brood: I went home & googled their location so I could be there at 9:00 when the card said they opened. It was way out in the boonies and when we got there they said "no, we don't have the contract with Columbia County jail anymore. We don't know who tows for them now." :brood: Back to the jail, where they finally figured out who likely towed our car, and this time we hit the jackpot and I paid the towing fee and storage fee and whatnot.

Side-note when the cop originally took the kids to jail he had left his paperwork at the scene  and had to go get it, then come back before they could be booked for suspicion of....."damn where is my paperwork? Maybe I left it in the patrol car!"......a minute or two passes......"ummm guys? I'll be back in a bit, I have to clear something up at the arrest scene real fast." Cop had to drive way the fuck back to the scene because he left the arrest report and related paperwork there! Lucky he never took his weapon off for any reason, he might have left that too!

That's shitty that without a decent grapevine a person could quite literally disappear into the system all because a message didn't get passed along.

Wasn't there a thing about that a while ago? SOme dude dying in custody because the chain of communication was interrupted and nobody knew he was there?

Oregon: "We're gonna legalize recreational marijuana!"

Someone: "Some other states did it first, and there's ten of them now, you're not special Oregon."

Oregon: "Oh yeah? Well... we're gonna legalize shrooms, so suck it!"

Nevada: "We've had legal gambling and prostitution for decades."

Oregon: "Shut the fuck up Nevada, nobody likes you!"

All they need to do, is use RFRA.

If homophobic cake bakers can use it to put a "no fags", sign up on their hate-bakery, then legalize shrooms for all Native Americans, and then have a medicine man cast a spell that says we're all Cherokee.
Hey, it's as legit as anything in Christianity.

yes it does happen occasionally. While death is rare, people being in the wrong facility or in a facility too long because of bad accountability or mismanagement is quite common. Not all by any means, but some jails & prisons have some very shady/shifty/dumb as fuck people working there. In small county facilities it's really bad. Limited budget? High turnover rate? It could be many reasons but the staff are as crooked as the inmates in many cases. :(

I did enjoy the trip on shrooms. They can be really relaxing with some decent effects. If I were to use either of those things medically I would go for the MDMA. Less of a top end. Recreational wise I won't bother with MDMA anymore. both molly and E are too weak. Perhaps when I was younger I would have played with them more, but if I want to get into CEVs and some music I can go so much higher and so much more controlled on some DXM. Plus the involvement with music and the dark is so much better. Not to mention it is not illegal and is for sale everywhere in the US.
