One person? Official twitter account of the Oregon GOP: Yes @Quest you’re right. This is who Republicans are.
@Dinner disclosure: I was born in West Covina. I think the general Oregon attitude towards Californians is nuts, especially if the unthinkable were to happen and California seceded, Oregon (and Washington) would happily secede along side.
In a sane world they'd be condemning the actions of their wayward colleagues and promising an internal party review, not gloating about putting people in danger.
Looks suspiciously like normal, armed Americans ready to take back their local government from the fucking insane. It's not the first time it's happened in this country, as you well know. If the governor wants to call out the NG, go ahead- we'll see how that goes. The first thing I learned upon spending some time in Oregon is how the vast majority of the state is NOT Portland.
Oh, and the part about Senate democrats 'cowering in fear' while the armed masses gather outside? That's the beauty of the Second Amendment, people. It's not about hunting and it never was. It's about keeping those government motherfuckers in check, 24/7. And don't you ever forget it.
When I seen that you were the last poster, I wondered how you might spin this. Fucking hell. You didn't disappoint. "Keeping those government motherfuckers in check" by resorting to threats of violence whenever things aren't going your way is no different to terrorism.
No, it ain't like that at all. We have this thing called the Constitution, and we're going to hold those fuckers to it. Simple as that. And your comment is rich, coming as it does from the land of the IRA.
Political violence against civilians or civil authority is terrorism. By definition use of force in this scenario would be terrorism, it's just that it's terrorism in the name of a cause you believe to be just. Every terrorist feels the same, every act or threat of violence feels justified to the perpetrators and their supporters. Be it the Bible, the Koran, the Constitution, it makes no difference, the mindset that a piece of paper or ideal lends some higher authority to ones' actions is a commonality between all these movements.
Oh, nice edit. Am I guilty by national association or what is your reasoning here? If so, then STFU because Timothy McVeigh, the Unabomber and ICE. Alternatively, you're the one defending actual terrorists here.
Bottom line: Mainstream Americans are tired of the crazy. And oh, we ARE armed. And there's a limit to how much of this crazy ass, suicidal, liberal bullshit we're gonna take. We elected Trump to put a stop to this crap. The left is flailing like crazy to get their way. In the end, sanity and reason is going to reign, by peace or by war. And that's all there is to it for as long as we have a Constitution and 2nd Amendment. It's not terrorism- it's government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Only the communist nutters like you try to brand it differently.
And damn the actual people who voted differently. If they wanted a say in government, they should have armed themselves, not bothered with elections.
Well, guess we can rule Marso out from further military service, since he refuses to defend the ideals in the Constitution and thinks armed insurrection rather than representative democracy is just fine.
What? Only a few posts ago you were happy with the idea of it being an armed militia and referring to "the beauty of the 2nd" Now you're acting as though some point has been proved when it turns out it isn't. Just to be clear, you have actively and openly endorsed terrorism, gross large scale violation of democratic process and civil war in this thread. And you're talking about climate change legislation as being "crazy". If you were a Muslim this thread alone would have been enough to put you in Guantanamo Bay.
‘Mainstream Americans’ are who exactly in Marsoland? And considering Oregon Dems ran on this Climate Change bill last Nov, and won supermajorities in both Houses (why the GOP has to resort to these measures) why do think these nutters threatening armed violence against the Constitutional order of the Oregon Gov in any way represent the majority of Oregonians?
Ayup. Marso is basically saying if you can't win the exchange of ideas, exchange bullets. That's a FINE example for the world's supposedly greatest democracy to be setting.
