The allegations are that he ignored reports of abuse of athletes. Athletes->gym+Jim Jordan = Gym Jordan.

Distraction is all the Trumpets have left, and their supporters are still going to buy it.

Schiff expertly handled the attempted rules violations. Very smart to give reasons for shutting down the other GOP members, to avoid the (obviously intended) bad look of repeatedly shutting Stefanik.

No, I don’t think it’s acceptable, but Trump does it all of the time. You would think that someone would be telling him to shut up because everything he says can affect the outcome of these hearings.

That is a detail which should concern you, and garner further scrutiny.

It's amazing that you had to get that bit of information from here. Jim Jordan is the focus of one of the most disgusting athletic scandals this side of Jerry Sandusky and yet Ohioans have seen fit to put this slimeball in Congress.

The Soudland appearance Wednesday is gonna be LIT!

The Holmes deposition basically documents him in a straight up lie in his revised testimony which makes him guilty of pretty much exactly what Roger Stone just got convicted of. Furious backpedaling and a whole lot of flipping 'bout to ensue.

So, I’m not a lawyer, but I know a little. My statement was legitimate. I understand now that it’s maybe not technically witness tampering or witnesses intimidation. So I was asking a legitimate question. So I see what you’re saying. What it seems to me is that he’s purposely walking a line. If I were a lawyer, I’d tel him to shut up, but that’s just me.

If there's one thing Trump seems to know how to do, it's walk that line.

So corrupt everyone can see it plain as day as he openly boasts about it, but somehow (read: lies, intimidation, bribery, blackmail) never quite giving anyone enough to bring him down.

    In other words a gangster.

hmmm...not so amazing that I used WF to get this info and here are some possible explanations:
    1) I don't follow sports except for fighting
    2) I listen to quite a bit of news on NPR (and to a lesser extent TV) and most likely heard the story, but forgot the name of the accused. It's a pretty generic name to be honest
    3) when I googled the guy I got both spellings, but no explanation as to why two spellings. I did wonder who the hell would spell their name Gym but alternate name spellings are not unheard of

Because the Democrats have dropped Quid Pro Quo and are now playing the bribery card.

The Democrats instead of actually caring about the truth are simply playing politics and they are polling to see which words work best in public.

And the Democrats are saying that the bribery was that Trump withheld the military aid and a White House meeting in exchange for making the Ukrainians investigate Biden.

Nunes read that transcript because it clearly shows the President inviting Ukraine to the White House months before the July call that Democrats are fussing about. So the meeting was never withheld. It was offered and accepted by the Ukrainians.

Zombie's just pissed that the Dems realized Latin doesn't work well on Trump's base, who barely managed English.

Like most of the GOP, he's only concerned about the hurt feelings of the 1% of the MAGA crowd who are educated enough to know WHAT quid pro quo means, but sadly not educated enough to know why it's bad in this case or why, indeed, we have laws.

What game should we be playing? It's a political arena with politicians running the show.

What is different is testimony from career diplomats. You seem to have a hard time following that truth.

"You seem to have a hard time following that truth."

No testimony from any of them has done anything to advance the Democrats cause. In fact the more they testified the more the Democrats looked foolish.

Marie Yovanovitch's testimony was the worst of the group. She shouldn't even have been called. Basically her gripe was she was fired from being an Ambassador to Ukraine. She had no first hand knowledge of anything the Democrats are talking about.

    A complete waste of time.

Your time must not be worth much, because you keep watching, and keep coming to this thread.

Or else, it's just meaningless noises from your mouth to try to make you seem cool, but it ain't working

    Which is it?
Cuz there's no version of this in the multiverse where you're a clever badass.

The ratings for the first day of hearings were 13 million people. That’s more than tune into most of the top rated cable news shows. (I think those only get around 4 or 5 million viewers, but I might be wrong. It’s actually a shockingly small number for the kind of impact such programs can have.)

In terms of the words being used numbnuts.

They decided that bribery sounds better than Quid Pro Quo.

Because the average voter isn't a Star Wars fan, and calling Darth Caedis "Darth Murder" in the EU novels would have been a bit too on-the-nostrum.

Still a crime, either way, even if we have to dumb it down for ya.

Who tried to bribe Trump to do what?

I've got several Marx Bros movies queued up at the top of my "Farce" folder so not caught up on the Schiff Show farce going on in DC. Probably will catch this week's circus by mid-Dec (tend to take in only a few hours of farce per week). Hopefully they don't cancel the series, I heard it's nearly Keystone Cops level antics and silliness. This kind of "impeachment" slapstick can be good for the soul if viewed in proper context.
