In a country full of thin people thanks to governmental incompetence and deliberate starvation this is some supreme irony for fat boy whose probably the only fat person in the whole country.

I'm wondering if this isn't a political ruse by various governments to try and undermine Un's authority. Plant a wild story in the media, knowing that he's unlikely to immediately show himself (since that would make him appear to be a puppet of the US, etc.), and this would also ensure that a trickle of rumors about his condition made their way into NK. That would have the potential of roiling those around him, since I'm sure that many of them would like to assume the mantle of power were Un out of the way.

Oh, the mass-starvation is deliberate. It makes the population easier to control.

Right now it looks like his sister might try take over though I seriously doubt she could hold power for very long. North Korea is a country where masculinity is a huge thing in politics and she doesn't have a huge power base.

Also everyone still alive remembers what fatty did when he took over and had a bunch of close people executed in order to consolidate his power and send a message to everyone else. They may decide as a group it's better to knock her out and take over if only so they can live a little longer.

Denis Rodham says that fatty has a daughter but she was born in 2010. No one knows how many other children he actually has.

I wonder how many doubles he has? Not easy in a country where everyone is starving, but I'm sure he's got a few stashed away. Any odds on his making a "miraculous recovery" and making public appearances while someone else pulls the strings?

Looks like the West is upping the pressure on NK to say what's happened to Un.

North Korea's Supreme Leader/dictator Kim Jong-un has reportedly died, or is on his death bed with no hope for recuperation -- according to media outlets in China and Japan.

Amid reports China has sent a medical team to their communist neighbors this week to check in/advise on Kim, a Hong Kong-backed news channel's vice director -- who's apparently the niece of a Chinese foreign minister -- blasted out the news herself ... he's dead. TMZ has not confirmed that.

The woman put the report on a social media app called Weibo for her nearly 15 million followers to read, citing a "very solid source" about the claim Kim had, in fact, perished. A Japanese magazine reports he's in a "vegetative state" after a heart surgery gone wrong.

The outlet reports -- citing a Chinese medical expert privy to the situation -- that Kim had clutched his chest in early April and fell down while visiting the countryside there. He needed a stent procedure done, but apparently ... it either wasn't done rapidly enough, or it was botched completely by the surgeon -- with some reports saying he had shaky hands.

Here's another point ... Saturday marks a major military anniversary in North Korea, where they celebrate the founding of the Korean People's Army in 1932 -- something they hype annually with a parade, and one in which Kim might normally make an appearance.

International reporters on the ground say if Kim was doing alright and not on death's doorstep, he and his team would figure out a way for him to show up to squash the rumors.

If he doesn't, it's probably not a good sign ... almost all but confirming something is wrong.
