right now in Toronto you're looking from $650-1000 for a room in a house, or up to $1300 for a single roomie, condo situation (kijiji, today). They were getting$1500 for units comparable to mine under the last owners-new ones dropped it to something a little less predatory. Last I heard, welfare gives out $750 and disability is about $1250. take home for 160 hrs at min wage is about $1875. I'm lucky as my lease is a decade old from just before prices went nuts here (we have rent controls and security of tenure-I'm dying in this place if I can help it), so I'm paying way less than somebody who just got a place .
Children's benedryl is a wonderful thing. Adults get it mixed with some alcohol and we call it zzzzquil. Just use the recommended dosage or else the RLS comes and you will not get any sleep. This is not something where more is better for sleeping, but it will make the ceiling crawl.
And if someone wants to get the occasional pint of ice cream, or rent from Redbox? Go for it. They're probably in debt already, they have no expectation of ever being out of debt, what's an extra let's say $20 a year on top of that? Life should be enjoyed at least a little.
Melatonin saved our sanity with one child, and we have since recognized some other reasons for the insomnia.
There has to be a global strike for workers that forces the managers and CEOs who are a waste of flesh to produce for a change. Then you get things like the John Deere corporate slugs hurting themselves and forcing middle management to do a days work. It is amazing how one minimum wage worker can produce the same as 10 managers. The people who should be on minimum wage should be managers, corporate people who sit in offices, and Human resources people. If all you are there at work to do is keep the desk from floating away and check your stocks then you are just a drain.
one of the side benefits of living cheque to cheque is that you generally don't accumulate a lot of debt because you didn't qualify for credit in the first place.
Melatonin and benedryl (especially when mixed with alcohol) are two entirely different things. I hope Tererun is joking. I have known assholes who put alcohol in infant's bottles to put them to sleep, then wonder why they wake up crying.
I have no issues with adults taking whatever they want to help them sleep. I may have misunderstood Tererun's post, but I took it to mean that she thought giving children benedryl so they go to sleep is an acceptable option. In my opinion, it is not.
Go on and rationalize your way into an entrenched situation you cannot easily escape. I will have no sympathy.
There's a fucking shock. But you'll call a comedian with a net worth of $50 million a "badass" for refusing to be "summoned" by an oppressed minority he pissed off in the first place. I don't think you know what "badass" means, unless you are applying it literally as "horrible shithole".
When entitled shitheads presume to demand your attention, there is only one correct response, regardless of their position on the victimhood totem pole. He could have bowed down to the tantrum children like basically all of Hollywood, but he didn't. Resisting that irrational culture policing bullshit is badass as far as I'm concerned, and I don't need anyone to agree.
not sure if "nope... not a boot licker at all" or "those are definitely words, but...". seriously-do you make those dog whistle phrases up yourself or were they in a Jordan Petersen podcast?
Childrens benedryl is a thing. I have never checked to see if it is mixed with alcohol, but I would assume it is not. Adult forms are mixed with alcohol at times. Benedryl, aka diphenhydramine, is used for multiple purposes. zzzzquil is an OTC sleep medication based on it and I think it also has alcohol in it. I think it is used for motion sickness. It is also an antihistamine. It has been around a while and I know it has been recommended by doctors for kids with allergies. I would go with the pills myself to avoid slugging down the alcohol and sugar mixtures, but the shit has been around forever. Melatonin is much different than benedryl. I have never seen melatonin in liquid form. From what I understand it is natural to your system and the people who take it do not want the alcohol and sugar mixtures of found in things like syrups.
Raising your kids to be Trumpanzees is not an acceptable option but people do it. You would be surprised what you find in the child medication aisle. The only difference between children and adult stuff is simply the amount of chemicals in a dose. They seem to put 25mg as the dose for children over 6. I know doctors recommend it for kids with allergic reactions. I would say consult a doctor about it if you are worried, but they have been pushing it for years. Again, I would not recommend going over the recommended dosage. 3 25mg pills will start the visual halucinations, and I cannot get to sleep for at least 3-4 hours until the RLS stops. I do not bother with it anymore for my alergies because the flonase works so much better without making me sleepy or feel like all the water has been sucked out of my glands.
Still better than the people who pass out bags full of pennies. I thought it was just laziness, but a lazy person would just not bother. You get a bag full of pennies while trick-or-treating, it means someone went out of their way to buy little paper bags with pumpkins and shit on them and spent all year saving up $50 worth of pennies, then on Halloween night carefully counted out 50 pennies, put them in a little bag, stapled it shut, and repeated the process at least a hundred times. They could have Coin*Star'd that shit, bought two big bags of mini candy bars and a twelve pack, and everyone would have had a better night. That's not laziness, it's psychopathy.
I think she needs more than Bloody Marys explained. She also needs explained the difference between tomato juice, tomato sauce, and spaghetti sauce.
