why? also, most of the folks that wind up shooting and smoking the fent (yeah, the junkies adapted to stop dying from it and start liking it) started with prescription drugs.
A. Pay $40 an hour to mop floors and $10 an hour to play video games and the floors gonna get mopped B. that a handful of bums will opt to eat ramen and play video games isn't a convincing argument against the system C. a UBI doesn't obviate the space for paying respectable wages for the job you wish to have done. Supply and demand and all that stuff.
Long term substance abuse is nearly always the result of self-medication for PTSD or other mental health issues. Unfortunately it’s a maladaptation, as the substance itself ends up becoming a new source of trauma.
It wasn't all that long ago you were facing charges for drunk driving, so maybe you'd like to put that particular stone down atop your glass house, Skippy.
we've read your posts... it's an easy default to shroedinger's douche. didn't you work in a place like where I do for a while? It eludes me how anyone wouldn't develop greater empathy after seeing it up close and getting to know the clientele.
Have you seen some hospice deaths? Have you seen what happens when some families let the elderly die at home? You actually haver to force my grandfather to bathe and change his clothes. He wants to put on his soiled diapers after he is forced to shower. He wanted to fight me over his dirty underwear because I was washing them. From what I have read, this is not an uncommon thing for alzheimers sufferers to do. I watched my grandmother die in hospice over the course of a few days when her cancer medications stopped working. There were some pain killing drugs, but they just let her stop eating and drinking and she was not getting up to go to the bathroom for a while. My other grandfather died shitting himself with a hospital infection. I have talked to people who have watched their elderly parents die of infection and disease at home. I have seen friends die of liver and organ failure. Yes, we try to clean up a bit, but we do let people die in their own filth at times. What is even worse is that without some sort of nice way to extinguish life functions people are often left to die in their filth because some assholes think helping a person into a comfortable death is a mortal sin. Those pro-life people who want to stop assisted suicide, but who love guns and killing "those people" are fucking awful. We could make the death of those slipping away so much more pleasant and comfortable, but instead we are forced into the horrors we have because some asshole who does not have to watch is uncomfortable with the idea.
exactly... I tend to refer to what I do as being palliative social work. We can't fix or stop what people are going through-be it addiction or end of life ravages-but we can try to make it suck a little less.
FF has never been and will never be sentenced for DUI. Because you can't tell the difference between sober and fifteen sheets to the wind with him.
He probably won't get any more of them because of rittenhouse and that kid in the maga hat who threatened the native american guy. Gargling chad's nuts just isn't what it used to be.
If a black kid did it you and your MAGAts would be going and then shooting them because you feared for your lives.
context... when the smirk conveys "I can do or say whatever I want to you without fear of punishment.", yeah that's kinda threatening.
For someone that used to call himself "The Ghost of Crazy Horse," you sure do seem ignorant of aboriginal history. And pretty much everything else.
