He's apparently considering running for President again in 2024. He's also up for Senate reelection that same year, so part of me would like to see him get the nomination but then lose to Biden or another candidate in the general that November so Cruz ends up being neither President nor Senator.

Hell, there were morons suggesting that even though both of McCain's parents were US citizens, he was ineligible to run for president because he was born in Panama (at a US military base).

Ted Cruz doesn't stand a chance, I think Desantos is most likely to win the nomination, but there could be someone else to break out. I still like Mike Lee, but I don't think he has a lot of appeal. I could see Liz Cheney try to appeal to moderates, but she won't get far either.
