I don’t know. But, if you want your politician to “listen to your ignorant concerns”, then you fall for lies. Because that’s what is happening. One politician tell the truth, the other makes statements to appease ignorance. One is a lie, the other is not.

So you don’t want politicians to listen to you, what do you want them to do then, what’s the point of representation if they’re not going to listen to their constituents?

The whole point is that he doesn’t believe any of them - left or right. He doesn’t vote because he believes it makes no difference. So, what is the reason for bitching about politics. He should be bitching about they system. But, he doesn’t.

Let’s put it in terms he can understand. There are candidates for homecoming queen. He doesn’t believe any of them. So, he doesn’t vote for them. But, he always bitches against the girl who made him angry and always supports the one he thinks is pretty.
