How do you think that kids getting approved to receive things like hormone blockers happens? Not only do the medications have to go through a government approval process, but how and when such drugs are used is limited by the government. "Off-label use" is a thing, but finding a doctor willing to do such a thing is an entirely different matter. If a doctor thinks that parents are brainwashing a kid into taking things like hormone blockers, I can't imagine that the doc is going to be willing to prescribe such things, since once the kid turns 18, they'd be able to sue the shit out of the doctor and collect a huge payday for it. (After all, large swaths of the American population don't think that being trans is "a thing," and would happily side with someone who said that they were forced into claiming that they were trans and the doctor wrote prescriptions based on the mistaken idea.)

Oh, AFAIK, nobody is "chopping dicks" (strange how you don't mention lopping off boobs, which is also what happens to some folks who are trans) of minors. Even when someone who is an adult comes out as trans, they have a long process to go through before they get gender modification surgery to be certain that they actually do want the process. Are there some who later regret it? Probably, but how many of them actually file a medical malpractice lawsuit because of it? That's the key since by doing so, they're basically guaranteed a ginormous payday.

If you want a less extreme idea of how society deals with humans wanting to alter their reproductive organs, just look at what it takes for a man to get a vasectomy when compared to what it takes for a woman to get her tubes tied. If you're a dude, all you've got to do is call up your doc and say that you want to be snipped, and they'll schedule an appointment to get it done. If you're a woman, however, especially an unmarried woman under the age of 30 with no kids, you'll find the process to be a lot harder. Why is that? Shouldn't they be equally the same?

That is what is implied by your claim of protecting the children from cutting their dicks off and taking hormones. BTW no licensed medical practitioner in the US can do SRS on a child based on medical opposition to such operations on a child who is growing and developing.

A licensed doctor will not risk their license to perform that surgery on a minor even when they demand it. It is not because someone might make a mistake, but rather it is unsafe for a growing body. It should be noted that despite a tiny group of people who might be making a mistake in changing genders, the vast majority of people who do this are happier with their gender and their choice. Hawaii's congressional districts aren't gerrymandered (most gerrymandering tactics don't work that well with only two districts anyway) ... the state is just heavily Democratic across the board.
