Clearly there is no turning back from the only and most important right to own firearms in America. And the necessary evil of that right, which predates the existence of firearms, is that sometimes a school will be massacred. Not only will there be a mass body count, but the survivors will surely never be able to live a normal life again having suffered such a trauma at an impressionable young age. All that being said, for people to continue to have the right to own a tool specifically designed for death, is it OK to put children in coffins?
If you told the 1999 versions of Gunforge that their future selves would put their hands in their pockets and whistle for 14 more of these fucking things, they'd be horrified. But drag it out nice and slow, and give them room after each one to self-justify and cushion their guilt, and wiggle, and squirm, they became those people. And the damage seems permanent. Look at the fucks who justified Bush era torture. Did any of them come back from that? Did any of them have a Darth-Vader-throwing-Palpatine moment? Nah, they're gone. They're ruined.
