Chess playing robot breaks boy's finger. It can’t be bargained with. It can’t be reasoned with. It doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are checkmated.
The Cylons were created by man. They evolved. They rebelled. There are many copies. And they have a plan.
OK, happened in russia. In russia robot checkmates you? I was seriously going to ask why there wasn't any sort of safety or why you would make a chess playing robot that could physically break fingers. In all reality russia man could be competition for floriduh man.
You're such a bitter person. chickless....toothless...jobless....alcoholic....don't worry...things will pick up I'm sure.
From quotes they are blaming the child for moving too quickly when he wasn't meant to, and saying the robot is perfectly safe because it acted according to its programming. Which is a terrifying indictment of Russian risk assessment and mitigation standards if it's a widespread attitude.
It is not surprising russian robot engineers are not concerned much with any safety at all, and they just blame the people for bad programming. The robot is not a dog. If it broke a finger it was programmed to do that. You need to program or make it so the robot does not break someone's finger while playing chess. Maybe not programming it to grab a hold of fingers is something you might want to not do.
