I'm not even going to bother finding out who was funded by the liquor lobby or big pharma. It's a tired old story at this point.
it's paywalled, but I caught the headline. Idahoan legislature trying to be funny with "420" is possibly the only thing lamer than Elon trying to be hip. closed the begging box and got taken to their mainpage though... "Ban on mask mandates goes to Idaho House BOISE — A bill to prohibit local government entities from imposing mask mandates cleared a House committee Wednesday." seriously?
Seriously. As for the paywall, I figured the lede said all that needed to be said. I"m not sure anyone in the Idaho Legislature is hip enough to be in on that joke.
Idaho is fucking stupid when it comes to drugs. A buddy of mine’s wife got into a great PhD program in Moscow and they moved there for a few years (or so they thought). One evening he took some shrooms and passed out in his rocking chair on his front porch. A nosy neighbor called the cops. He woke up handcuffed to a hospital bed. Cops had come, seen he was high, took him to the hospital, they pulled his blood, he was in possession of shrooms in his blood and arrested. Even worse, shrooms are a felony in Idaho. Even though they moved back to a civilized state as soon as was legally possible he will forever be a felon for falling asleep in a rocking chair on his porch in Idaho.
I would hope there is some mechanism for having his record expunged. Anyway, it's only been a year or two soon two truck drivers were busted for hauling loads of hemp through the state. The poor schlubs were facing God knows how many years in prison for "trafficking" "narcotics". After much anguished debate the legislature finally passed a law legalizing hemp, even though hemp by definition is not psychoactive. They also legalized the growing of hemp although they imposed so much red tape that it's hard to believe anyone would bother. Hopefully, the Open Primaries Initiative (which includes ranked choice voting) will pass and hopefully it will result in a more moderate legislature and hopefully a more moderate legislature might be more...sensible?
That's fucked when you consider they grow wild (and up till recently have been pretty hard to cultivate) His lawyer could have argued he'd been wildcrafting and ingested them accidentally... I got nailed with some about 30 years ago... managed to (mostly) get off as they were classified under food and drug, rather than narcotics control here.
Thank you. But if you have to explain it... The rest of you can admit you didn't know what he was on about either.
The joke, such as it is, is the Idaho lawmaker who didn’t spot the joke. Somebody planted that seed and the lawmaker/idiot didn’t spot it. To certain people it’s devastating self-own.
LOL there're at least three on my street and I wouldn't even hazard a guess to how many within 250 yards. This stuff is from my buddy's shop a street west of me... for $45/ounce I'm happy so long as it tastes good. it wasn't bad for a hybrid. About 22% claimed for thc content. More floral than fruity.
