So Anne Heche was removed from life support and passed away today. She was in a serious car accident a week ago. https://www.theguardian.com/film/20...death-actor-dies-week-after-car-crash-aged-53
The Guardian may have jumped the gun. They're the only news source currently reporting that she's died. (FYI, most media outlets have prepared obituaries for almost all famous people.) Sadly, nonetheless, it sounds like it's only a matter of time.
A ton more places are reporting she is dead. Her heart is still beating and she is on life support while they determine the viability of organ donation, but she is braindead and otherwise legally dead under California law.
This seems really sad to me. First, she died in a mini. People still drive those abominations? How much of a pretentious twat does that? At least it wasn't a bug. Second, I had to look it up and even though I knew of her and probably saw he on occasion the only reason I knew her name was because she was the carpet Ellen was munching at one point. How bas is it that you were in hollywood and some movies and someone out there only knows you because you were one of the first girlfriends of the first beloved lesbian? Maybe get a fucking uber if you are going to be coked up, drunk, and have a few bucks?
I do have to admit I was unaware of some of the suffering she went through due to a car accident and unresolved health issues which caused her permanent pain. My opinion of her death was a little corrected based on what she was going through, still try not to be a danger to others when taking yourself out or having a bad moment on the drugs you use to cope with serious pain issues. OTOH there is no excuse for driving a mini. Though I guess if you are killing yourself because you are forced to drive a mini against your will I could see that. Just use a tree and not someone's house. As for Mini drivers who may have shame, at least you are better than people who drive those fiat things. even Prius drivers can laugh at fiats.
