LINK As a (mostly) libertarian, I respect the employee's freedom of conscience to not serve police officers. As a (mostly) libertarian, I also respect the company's freedom to release employees who refuse to serve the company's customers. Discuss?
I disagree. Her job is to serve the customers, not pass judgement or let her personal bias get in the way. Agree.
My line to refuse a cop service would be "you want bacon? Shave it off your belly, pig!! ". Aw man, that would be so great. It would be worth the firing.
With such poor grammar and such poor social skills I do not find it surprising that McDonald's is the best job she can get.
How could you possibly think you could work any sort of fast food/gas station/etc without interacting with cops? Being able to deal with the public is literally the only skill you need to have to work fast food. You can suck at every other aspect of the job and not get fired.
Bullshit, McD's is a top shop and probably has demands that require things like showing up every scheduled shift, on time, and presentable.
Do you have examples of situations where it would be acceptable to refuse to serve a customer at McDonalds? Short of that customer being abusive and/or violent? Or is this just more of your "fuck the police" twattery?
I'll say the same thing I said when pharmacists use religion not to sell Plan B, when Muslim truckers use religion not to ship beer crates and when that bitch Kim Davis used her born again Christian shtick (three husbands and two affairs later) not to sign marriage certificates: Do what you're paid to do or find a new job.
