    I was watching the music video for Concrete Blonde's cover of Leonard Cohen's "Everybody Knows" and noticed the clips from Pump Up the Volume, and that the chick who played Slater's love interest in the film was kind of cute. Wondering if she'd done anything else, I looked her up on IMDB and discovered that she's Bibi Besch's daughter! I'm surprised that they haven't put her in any of the various Star Trek projects, since they always like "looping" people with connections to Trek into other Trek projects.

    Yup. The trilogy was such a tremendous bomb that they had to find a new cast for each movie.

    That's too bad. I mean, objectivism is ridiculous and a movie shouldn't be made to promote it, but I always liked the aesthetic of the book.

    Huh. I guess I never saw the resemblance. Always confused her with Clair Danes, who I then confuse with "the widow" on Walking Dead.

    And Pump Up the Volume. There's a concept that now seems silly in an age where any meathead can start a youtube channel and scream obscenities that potentially anyone in the world can hear.
