Right or wrong? From what I understand, MLB reserves the right to do things like this.

Having grown up in the LA area and seeing the changes made by McCourt since he took over the team, I can't say that I'm all that upset with MLB taking over the team. Oh and just to make this a little bit more Red Room appropriate, fuck the Frank McCourt and whatever jackass he rode in on.

At least the Dodgers will be able to make their payroll and honor their contractual obligations.

Quick! Let's discuss the nuances of bothering the piss out of people on the phone before we lose Albert!

You know there are some things that I would consider damn near impossible and one of them is turning the Dodgers into a bankrupt outfit. It's quite an accomplishment in a sick sort of way...of course the Mets are next. As a Tampa Bay Rays fan (a team that is kicking ass and running on a financially sound basis) I hope I've heard the last of the rumors that the Rays will be contracted. I'd say deal with the shitheads running franchises that should be the next best thing to having an oil well in your basement into financial disasters and then figure out how to get the A's and Rays new stadiums without tapping the taxpayers.

Huh. I had no idea any of the MLB teams were this deep in the red.

I can't say that I am surprised, but it interesting. They also want more financial info from McCourt.
