It plain sucks now since the phone auto updated this morning and I've all but lost the ability to paste. I have the clipboard feature here: And when I go to past, I get this: And ironically, as I made that screenshot, one of the OTHER links on my clipboard somehow got inserted...five hours after the damn fact when I needed the link :/ But anyway, WTF? And if it can't get fixed, which keyboards are good for my Samsung phone?
Now, now, the software engineers know what you want in a keyboard, because they're so much smarter than you, and they have all this data which they've mined to prove it. You just need to lie back and accept the new keyboard. (Sorry, but I can't tell you the number of times I've gotten that kind of argument when I've bitched about a new "feature" which has suddenly been added to a program.) I don't know what's happened to your keyboard because it could either be Samsung's doing, or it could be Google's. Nor do I know how to fix it, because without knowing who's responsible, I can't say if it can be fixed. I can, however, recommend a couple of replacement keyboard apps that are free/cheap. Swype, Swiftkey, and Fleksy are three of the most popular ones out there. I use Swiftkey, and it's a pretty decent app.
Yep. I use an Android phone now, and while it's decent enough, I dearly miss my Windows mobile platform. Android may be ubiquitous, but you get all this shit where Google tells you that you're wrong, they're right, and then they enact the dumbest methods by which to access what features you need. Windows Mobile was so easy to use, simple to operate, and fast. Unfortunately, no one supported the damned thing, not even Microsoft!
