    got a gel seat and padded biker shorts and not only did I stay on the bike the entire hour, I peddled the entire hour.

    And, if you're going "so what" ..., ... you're not a 46 year old, overweight, out-of-shape-hasn't-done-jack-shit-in-the-15-years-she's-been-out-of-the-military, woman. But, I am and I say "Bite my big fat ass!!"

    The gel seat might end up giving you more problems than solving them, but with chamois I think you can avoid that. The usual reason for avoiding gel seats is that they shift around way to much and actually cause more rubbing.
