England seemed to have quite a bit of difficulty, just kicking the ball.

Disgusting. Disgraceful. Shocking. Criminal. Dsirespectful. Arrogant. Useless and Lazy are just a few of the word I would use to talk about tonight's match.

Sven, Steve, Fabio? Steve may have been crap, but what this proves is that whoever you have in charge of England the fact is that the current crop of players, from whatever Champions League side they come, they simply do not work together as a squad....which perhaps says that they aren't as good as they think they are.

As for Wayne Rooney.....fuck him. What a piece of utter shit. Most of the fans at the staium have spent thousands of pounds to be there. A good third of most of their annual salary. A sum of money that that shithead makes in a week. Rooney, you should be fucking hanged. Forget about Beckham in France 98. You should have your fucking caveman balls cut off.

The amusing British reaction is what I imagine it would have been like if Canada did not win gold in the non boring man sport of hockey.

    But we did.

No, the Canadian meltdown would have been better. The English national team has been disappointing it's fans for longer than El Chup has been alive. They're more or less used to it by now.

The sad fact that appears lost both in the papers, news and even on here is that Algeria were absolutley value for there draw. They worked hard, and in patches outplayed England.

Fucking awesum now. All down to the last match. Must win now eh?? Squeky bum time.

As I've been saying in this thread like a broken record, England are not as good a team as they/press/sky marketing men who built the premiership stars etc. would have you believe.

    Average, very average.

Is 2 draws against two sides who won't be winning the world cup, a suitable barometre for judging a side??

As my FB status described England - twatting useless cocktards.

Algeria had more shots on goal at the start, were more comfy on the ball and looked like, well, a football team. We looked like what we are - a bunch of overpaid prima donnas cunting about on the grass in the hope the ugly granny-humping twat at the front will flog his balls off.

We'd have been better off deploying 9 girls from St Trinians with Stavros Flatley up front. They may have scored.

Lampard had some brief moments, as did Gerrard, but since they amounted to the square root of jack diddly fuck-nothing, they were not moments of any actual use.

Man of the match? The bird who got comfy in the Algerian net.

We did make some incisive passes though. To the Algerians.

And we did learn something - Scousers will nick anything except a goal :marathon:

For me the problem is the difference between how we played in qualifying and how we are playing now.
I could accept the fact that we have only crap players and dont deserve to win anything,.. if that was obviously the case. But it isnt.
Why are we so bad now... ?

^In qualifying we generally had a fit Barry as a midfield lynchpin, and Rooney in a real winning mood. As a Plan A, it was a world beater.

Now we have a Barry coming back from an injury and Shrek regressing to his petulant manchild mode, so we need as Plan B. Capello hasn't got one, although given the dearth of English talent it's probably difficult to form one without the help of some Vietnam vets convicted of a crime they didn't commit, assuming you can find them.

There has to be a grassroots upheaval in the UK - the FA stopping it's ridiculous geographical barriers to clubs getting youth players, the reintroduction of a B team and layered promotion of both managers and players through the ranks of an international system.

When a player first puts on his first team jersey for England, he should be used to international duty already having been blooded at under-18, under-21 and B team level. It should the finished article who walks out on the turf, not someone still having to be moulded by their national and club managers.

    They're surrendering

Next game I'm watching, due to the massacre that will occur, is Honduras vs. Spain this Monday. It'll be a bloodbath so harsh even grown men will cry.

    Go Spain!

    I dunno.
You would normally say the same thing about New Zealand V Italy (even though Italys squad average age is something like 84), and its 1-1 in the 86th minute.

That's just shameful. Under performing is one thing, but acting like this is a disgrace to their whole country.

Some disgraceful refereeing in the Brazil v Ivory Coast match this evening.

The second goal was a handball.
There were two dangerous tackles put in by Ivory Coast that deserved red cards.
Kaka should never have been sent off - Ivory Coast player dived.

Fucking Brazilians act as if they're not allowed to be tackled. Every challenge by the Ivorians was met with diving, crying, play acting and rolling around by the Brazilians, and histrionics from that prick Dunga on the sidelines. No wonder non-football fans laugh at the sport when they see athletes behave like little girls.
Having said that, the reaction of the Ivorian to Kaka's shoulder, um infringement, was disgraceful. Fucking hate players behaving like this, it tarnishes the sport yet FIFA do nothing about it.
This game was an appalling example of football IMO, such a shame when there were so many world class players on the pitch.

^No one will do anything about until some player really gets the hump when someone does a Rivaldo special, and proceeds to break their legs.

Around that time FIFA will probably come up with a new rule.

When a player flops the ref needs to say,

[pie]Stop flopping or get yer pansy arse off the pitch ya smegging wanker!

They need to adopt a casual acceptance of fighting in the sport, just like hockey does. If little Miss Delicate has to throw down with some fisticuffs every time he takes a dive, it might cut down on that type of behavior. In fact, some countries would probably have to give up the sport entirely (Hi Mexico!).

What the hell is going on in the England camp? Just when I thought I couldn't possibly hate John Terry any more than I already do, he tries to take over the England team as if he's captain again!
Which idiot at the FA authorised Terry's press conference?

If there's one thing tabloids are accurate on it's association soccer.
