There is no such thing as a "Hispanic" demographic. The term "Hispanic" itself is misleading because a lot of people, particularly those of Spanish background do not consider themselves Hispanic. They come from Central and South America and Mexico and have all sorts of cultural and economic differences. Plenty of Latino voters do support Rubio, but it's not monolithic support. There are plenty who don't like him and consider him a sell out. Black TEA Party/Libertarian types are much more rare than the Rubio cons. Most blacks (I think...I won't speak for them) seem to feel that voting for Democrats is in their best interest, I guess for the same reason that most really rich people feel that voting for Republicans is in their best interest. Of course when blacks do that Republicans call it call it "class warfare"....I call voting against your best interest stupid...
Kind of like you spending most every waking hour here? You are the biggest hypocrite and liar Margaret.
It will be fun to revisit this when you realize that "conservative Republican" became an oxymoron some time ago.
As opposed to your spending every waking hour here counting who posts what? Maybe if you hadn't run away for over two years your post count would be just as high as mine. Of course, you should also count Priscella's posts in your total.
My revenge isn't complete. 8 years of Obama for 8 years of Bush. And the worst offenders of the haven't given me my scream. Obama would just disappear right now, if you'd just give me my scream,...but you won't...see what your stubborn pride has brought you.
It's not that it's difficult, it's that he just doesn't care enough to do it correctly. There's a metaphor there somewhere.
I'd say the Mississippi River Flood of 1927 was a definitive turning point for blacks switching from supporting Republicans to blacks supporting Democrats as the Republicans did nothing but alienate them during the flood.
So did I, but I don't bother to memorize every Congressman and Senator's name except for those who actually stand out (i.e. are doing something positive/negative in Congress). As far as I can gather he is a Tea Partier which could explain why some at WF have heard of him, but WF is hardly a random sampling--in fact it is heavily biased towards Tea-related politics. But for the other 70-80% of the population who do not like the Tea Party, I doubt they'd given him a second thought before the Nancy Reagan thing. I've already forgotten his name.
Rubio became pretty well-known by virtue of being part of a rare three-way race in which a more moderate, well-known Republican ran as an independent. The interesting nature of the race, combined with it being an off-year special election, got Rubio a bunch of national press, much more than your average junior senator.
If Obama wins in '12, it will be because of the fragmentation of the GOP into various flavors of used-to-be-Republicans stampeding off in multiple directions.
