Many people do! Fortunately, that website has a page to help you understand how to treat a comma like a lady, gentleman, or distinguished alien of indeterminate sex.

Muscles in Marinara sounds like a gay food fetish porn! :walz:

    Anywho, here are my favorites

    " " " "
    : : : :

    ( ) ( )

One I rarely use (because I'm not sure of the prope usage) is the semi-colon.

I like how Spanish puts the exclamation + question marks at the beginning of a sentence, I guess as a "heads up" for the reader. Great idea IMO.

The semi-colon isn't that hard to use; you gotta know the rules, though.
Essentially, what it does is join to independent statements joined by 'and', 'but', 'so' and 'or' (and other conjunctions) and replaces the conjunction.

For example, my first sentence really reads as, "The semi-colon isn't that hard to use, but you gotta know the rules, though."
