protestign Bunnie getting warned for posting a nekkid picture of UA's butt. Nastier shit has been tolerated as avatars, and due to there being no sexual activity in the pic it cannot be judged as pornographic, only of questionable artistic merit. As to artistic merit, the thread was about butts, and we had a couple of titillating shots of women's asses, which puts this one in full context as humourous. Retract the warning!!!
I'm guessing you didn't see the image in question. If the thread title had a NSFW warning then it would have been alright, but it didn't. Also it was an image loaded into the Wordforge gallery meaning it showed up on the screen of anyone who went into the gallery and looked at recent images.
God forbid, I am with the ownership/modship on this one. Lanzman has made no secret of his desire for no genital pics.
(I figure you're joking, still...) Actually, it would be considered pornographic because the gentleman in question was displaying his completely uncovered genitalia in a lascivious manner, which, at least in the United States, where the server is located, means it's pornographic.
I did see it-think I repped it even. I have no sympathy for anyone who is using company time and property to surf this place.
horse dooky-it's only nudity and hardly in a lascivious manner. It was just his nutsack hanging there doing nothing. If anything, it was his butthole that was presented lasciviously.
We got rid of the White Room because Lanzman can't be having a lot of nudity on a website he owns because of his job. I didn't see it, but buttholes and nutsacks sounds like it's bad enough to be removed and a warnable item. Personally, I probably wouldn't have warned Bunnie because she has never done anything even questionable before, but she doesn't seem upset over it...in fact she seems to be wearing it as a badge of honor and a right of passage.
My employer has a clearly defined internet use policy that allows us to surf the internet during our free time, so long as we're still getting out work done and we're not looking up "hate speech" or "pornography," or downloading files from shady sources. I already turned off signatures as work because I didn't want to explain sandbaggers avs to random people that walk by, I don't want to explain some guys balls to my boss either.
If it was a choice between keeping posters who post from work or having genitals all over the place, I'd choose to ban nudity every time. The 'net is full of porn...go get some. We don't need to host it here.
