I thought it was odd that MTV still does the Video Music Awards. As far as I can tell, they don't show videos or have anything to do with music any more.

I've seen videos of Lady Gaga before she was famous....chick can give Adele a run for her money. But I guess she has a brain along with talent and decided that selling out and outdoing Madonna would put more zeros in her bank account.

As for the Pinkett-Smiths, cute kids, but Willow is an even less talented singer than Big Willie, IMHO!

interestingly, there's apparently a backwards legal battle over where the song is too similar to Marvin Gaye's "Got to Give it Up" which is what provoked me to look up the video, then Gaye's, to see for myself.

I honestly don't see more than a passing resemblence, but the interesting thing to me is that while doing this i came across a live cover of the Gaye song that, dare i say it, sounds better than the videos of Gaye preforming it on Soul Train.
