... and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

    Yea, and him too:

Which ends two shows I have been watching religiously for years. Leaves BIG BANG THEORY, ...and that's it. Damn. UNDER THE DOME bores me already, WALKING DEAD is on my personal chopping block if they pull another snorefest like S2 and FALLING SKIES, well, just because there's nothing else on.

Anything new on the horizon with potential to survive season one? Not interested in cop shows, crime shows, reality shows or reality cop shows with crime.

How about "Almost Human". Yeah, it's a Cop show, but it's set in the future with Karl Urban as a technophobic cop who's teamed with an android partner. Sounds promising to me...

I would say the show should be more like the comic book, but for the last year or so the comic book has become dull and repetitive. :(

Jeffery Donovan has got to be the most recognizable actor in a long-term regular series where no one knows his real name! I literally had to go out to IMDB and look it up!

I could've told you his character's name in a heartbeat, but absolutely no clue about the actor's name. Has he ever done anything else?

If you guys have Netflix, I'd recommend catching up on Breaking Bad....

Breaking Bad's gone after a couple more episodes. :sob:

Dexter is through after this season.

    Fortunately...

The Walking Dead was improved in S3, even though it still needs less sobby-sobby and more munchy-munchy.

Hannibal has turned out to be pretty worthwhile.

    Justified has been persistently watchable.

I guess I'm going to have to find a couple of more shows to watch. Game of Thrones seems to have a lot of people's attention. I've heard Homeland is pretty good, too. I haven't seen Falling Skies, but it's still going after--what?--three seasons.

Is anyone going to point out that the quote is "Good night" not "good bye"?

not to be picky, but I was just watching the Sharpe's series again and it came up.

these are the network shows that interest me on some level, though i won't be able to even try to watch all of them. Bolded are the "can't miss" - yes, some of them are cop/crime shows but I watch them, except Castle, for the SF angle so you might see something you like):

    Sunday:
Once Upon a Time - still watching for Robert Carlyle, but this one is wearing a bit thin
Resurrection - won't be on 'til spring

    Monday:
    Intelligence - Josh Hollaway!
Castle - no it's not SF but Nathan Fillion!!! *swoon*
Almost Human - KARL URBAN!!!! How can you not be excited about this?
Sleepy Hollow - trailers look good
The Blacklist - not SF but Spader usually makes good stuff

    Tuesday:
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D - giggity giggity goo!
Person of Interest - My current fav network series

    Wednesday:
    Arrow - first season rocked
The Tomorrow People - sucker for the concept and love Mark P. as the bad guy
Nashville - great cast and some of the best music to be found
Revolution - I'll stick with it a while longer because I love me some Billy Burke

    Thursday:
Once Upon a Time in Wonderland - probationary
Sean Saves the World/MJF show - i don't really regularly watch half hour comedies hardly at all. I LOVE TBBT but hardly every make it appointment TV. But I'll give these a few eps just so I'm familiar with the players.
The Crazy Ones - i'm curious to see what they do with Robin Williams

    Friday:
Grimm - like OUaT, growing thin and there's only so long I can hang on just for Monroe.
Dracula - tentative, vampires aren't really my thing.

I also try to catch Haven on SCyFy,and i think they have some other upcoming projects that look promising.

oh, and i've read some reviews that say Orphan Black is really good.

It''s one I've been meaning to give a go, along with Continuum.

Community was pretty good up until season 4.

Other than that, all I watch on TV is Wrestling, and China, Il which starts up this month.

I'm pretty excited for Season 2 of China, Il though. Brad Neely is really funny, and Adult Swim bumped him up to 30 minute episodes instead of 15.

    Karl Urban

Still, nothing that immediately grabs my interest. Maybe I'm just getting too old? I'll give some of your recommendations a try, though.

StarZ is coming out with Black Sails in 2014. http://screenrant.com/black-sails-tv-trailer-starz/

Looks interesting enough to check out.

Still a damn shame that they won't at least try to restart Firefly. With all the crap going on now in the world about big government (and the NSA) I'd think it would work.

The problem with re-doing Firefly, as much as i'd like it, is ever getting the cast all uncommitted to other projects at the same time.

also, logically, you'd have to time jump a good bit from the original show and make the necessary adjustments in the fictional lives...and you wouldn't have Wash.

it'd be a very complex thing.

That said, I would think that a provider wanting to make a splash, like Netflix for example, would have an offer out to Wheadon (since he's so hot now) offering to do it if he can ever get the band back together.

More realistically, you might could tell an entirely different story set in the same universe. Maybe you could take Maher and Staite and build something around them.

not in isolation, it would depend on you you set them against. More than anything, it would depend on who's doing the writing. Joss Weadon can make Al Gore and John Kerry an entertaining comedy duo.

As far as good shows to fill any gaps in one's TV schedule, I nominate both Elemtary and Person of Interest. Both are consistantly good in my opinion.
