Clyde claimed that nothing like this had ever happened in the US, I pointed him to articles about various union groups like the Molly Maguires who'd used violence to control people in unions as well as to ones about company executives hiring thugs to murder people attempting to organize a union. Clyde claimed that this was different than what was happening in France, because for some reason it was legal in France. When I pointed out that this was bullshit, he copped an attitude of "Hey, whatever man, if that's what you want to believe." Even zombie made note that Clyde was being a douche.

I noticed after that (How could I avoid it? Clyde was on staff and thus couldn't be on my ignore list.) that Clyde didn't post a lot for a while, then he'd do a burst of posting until someone called him out on his bullshit, before disappearing again. The crap he pulled last year was just longer and more sustained than what he'd done before, but I wasn't the least bit surprised by it and had bitched to Lanz that I wanted to put Clyde on ignore so I wouldn't have to read his bullshit.

Yeah, Clyde turned into a weirdo years and years ago. He ratcheted up the dickishness a lot in the last couple of years, though.
