Well you'll definitely like it when you get to the TDs with the giant doom cannons then. Ever play any of the British TDs?
It's a hippie Crimbo in Kingdom of Loathing, and we're cleaning out our chakras by defeating the monsters within them. Best game.
Dr. Kreig is playing crusader kings 2 : A clash of kings mod with Bill Clinton and Putin he is playing the mod as Jaime Lannnister.http://www.ckiiwiki.com/Crusader_Kings_II_Wiki
I just played through "Pony Island" which was pretty good. Other than that, Overwatch, Hearthstone. Still playing idle games and Free to Play games on my phone.
I had several hours of fun with Concrete Jungle. New game idea for me. Not perfectly realised, with some drawbacks on the interface, but good enough and with some fun ideas.
Company of Heroes a lot, and I just got MW2 on Steam. Been playing some Rise of Nations with my brother. Probably going to start a game of Civ 4 this weekend.
I've been playing GTA IV again. I'd love to get GTA V, but sweet Jebus it's still $50! I'm a "wait until it's $19.99" kind of guy, which at this pace means I'll be playing this 2013 game in 2025.
I got Skyrim Remastered for Xmas, so wandered around for a bit but until many of the mods make their way to XBone I'm not enjoying it as much as I did on PC, despite the much better graphics. I tended to use mods to bring endgame destruction magicka into line with the damage you get from high-tier weapons and attack skills. For something to do, I finally bought Destiny with all the DLC. Just about to run the final story mission of Rise of Iron after a bit of faffing getting my Light level up to snuff to start it (I tried going in at 245 Light when it first unlocked, but recommended level is 280, so I got wiped by the snipers during the cable car section). Haven't successfully run the last mission of The Taken King yet as Oryx kept one-shotting me in the final segment of his boss fight, but now RoI has bumped my Light up to 323 I'll give it another shot. Done a few strikes but no raids. It's fun enough, I suppose, but the missions get a bit same-y... go here, send Ghost to analyse something, while he's doing it loads of bad guys show up, kill them, mission over.
Beat the final story missions for Destiny but FFS Bungie, the goddamn scout mission after the end of The Taken King... Scan an area way up high that requires multiple fucking jump puzzles in a game where jumping is NOT precise and varies by class ability... Fuck you with a goddamn suit of MJOLNIR armour and its titanium codpiece.
I'm trying to find some decent casino type games. There are "free to play" games, but they want you to buy chips with real money, so things are rigged against you. I love games like roulette, poker, blackjack, bingo, and so on, but I don't want to actually pay real money to win fake money. I know casino games used to be huge, and you could buy the Hoyle games, but from what I've seen the games are rather awful these days. There was only one option on Steam, and that Hoyle game was $20 with a negative rating. I was playing the other option, "Four Kings Casino & Slots," and doing a damn good job (went from $288 to $37,000 playing roulette, because fuck yeah, I'm good), but then suddenly I started losing every time at Roulette, and I mean in the weirdest ways. I started losing at every other game, too when, statistically speaking, I should have been winning. Considering it's software, and doesn't involve real gambling, there's no oversight. It's like how Microsoft's casino games give you back 72% of what you put in over time, so that no matter how well you do, you will always lose credits until you buy more from their store, and that costs real money. So if I could stay away from the "free to play but not really" games, that would be great. Any suggestions?
Gave up on that mission for now. I can get within one jump of the top, but end up bouncing off and falling right back to the start. Grr. Just had my first ever Crucible (PvP) match since I wanted Legendary Marks. Fared a bit better than my last Bungie PvP outing (versus Foil1212 and another worryingly skilled zygote at Halo 3 MP, where I got ONE kill and that was a last-ditch sticky grenade to his face as he caved in my skull with his rifle butt), in that I got six kills and didn't finish last despite everyone else in the match being at least 10 Light ahead.
Haha, back in High School I played a LOT of Halo 2 which transferred to Halo 3. I bet if we played now it would be a lot more even.
Doubt it. Shit day today - except for meeting my new puppy. Mail van reversed into my car as I was pulling into the dog breeders' farm... Great. So decided to cheer myself up with a spot of Destiny but Daily Heroic slaughtered me. Then, tried the Paradox story mission for first time. Massacre - too many Vex able to cover each other with invulnerable shields. Tried the Fallen SABER strike. Fireteam wiped at the bit where you need to dodge the lightning arcs while disabling the generator, so one member ragequit and the remaining two of us weren't enough to cover each other versus the Shanks that appear. Fucking disaster. Got a legendary but I need to infuse it into my current and am out of legendary marks. Grr.
I haven't played a console shooter more than 30 minutes since 2008 I'm pretty sure, so I don't know how well I'd fare. It's all PC Overwatch for me lately.
https://www.humblebundle.com/store/promo/gta-v-sale/ humble is selling it for 30 bucks right now. Not sure if that's low enough for you, but it's a sale.
Yep! I snatched it up last week on Amazon, who was selling it for $30. That was just low enough, since I had just fixed a computer for a family member and *gasp* he actually paid me for it! So far I've been playing it, and the difference between IV and V is daylight and dark. It's taking some adjusting.
IV was really good, but felt outdated last time I played it. They made a huge leap in gameplay between san andreas and IV, but it wasn't quite enough to feel modern.
just grabbed the original Starfleet Command off of Steam... Haven't played it since at least '02, so it's kind of fun again... but a little clunky. Running a campaign as the Netherlands on Total War:Empire. Just finished conquering all of India and have about half of Europe/Russia by 1750. Broke my game long alliance with Britain to take over the UK and start on their north american territories.
Shit, I wished I knew I could get that through Steam. I got a copy through GoG a while back, but I haven't played it yet.
I played some Artemis bridge simulator with friends, and tried open epsilon which is people who remade it as an open source game. Open epsilon crashes like crazy, but they were both fun. Everyone mans a station on a Star Trek style ship and you complete missions. We weren't in the same location so we had to use Hamachi to connect, and it would have been better if we all had a second monitor, but it was a real good time. We also played some Guns of Icarus which was fun. Similarly all trying to fly a steampunk boat and assuming different stations while fighting with enemies.
