TL;DR version:

Jordanian flies into Chicago with a valid tourist visa. CBP decides to treat him as a Syrian, despite having a Jordan passport and two Jordanian parents. They put him in a cell furnished for five total people that was holding six, and bully him into signing deportation papers without legal counsel.

When the lawsuit gets filed and a huge amount of money gets awarded to the Jordanian then THAT will be "what America is." Fuck I bet El Chup would love to hop on a case like this!

Most recently, Federal agents ask domestic flight passengers to show IDs before being allowed to disembark plane.



Deporting valid visa holders is beyond the scope of what should ever be occurring. Checking papers on citizens who already had to present identification to board the flight is just plane bullying and demonstrating the extent of their power.

Point of order: It's "The 275" (betrays a SoCal influence or origin -- although I hear Ontario like the 'the' prefix as well for, well, the 401 and the QEW), "I-275" (fairly neutral), "IH 275" (betrays Texas influence), or "Hwy/Route 275" (also neutral). No one would say 'The I-275'.

Also, I hear gators and crocs have a taste for Canucks. I don't recommend the Everglades...

Point of order: most people here simply say "275" or, at most, "I-275". No pesky "the" or "H" cluttering up the nomenclature.
