So there is this child who is a behavior problem. He is in a special school for kids with violence and behavior problems because he could not get along in regular school. Last October he is being disruptive and gets a time out and refuses to go. The TA tries to escort him to the time no it areas and the kid decides to scratch and kick the teacher and the TA has to hug restrain him. This kid is such a behavior problem this is the last straw at a school that deals with these problems and th boy is expelled.

Last week the kid had to go in for testing and was arrested for the assault in October. His mom records the brat getting arrested and being a foul mouthed little shit while crying. People are saying this is horrible and wrong.

WTF is wrong with people? He has autism and does not deserve to be mocked or treated poorly for it, but he also does not get to assault people? His mom is such an enabling count she does not even tell her kid this is because you assaulted someone. No, to her he is allowed to just assault whoever he wants because autism. We all just have to accept being hit if he goes off because autism. I do find it interesting that the time out made his lose his shit to this point he could not avoid assaulting his teacher, but going to jail he does not kick the cops. He doesn't have issues overnight in the juvenile facility. They touched him and probably strip searched him, but he had self control then.

Perhaps we should start calling autism affluenza if this is how white snot nose snowflakes are going to be treated when they claim to have it.

Violence isn't acceptable. Yes, the little retard has behavior issues, no, that does not excuse the crime. Personally, I would like to see some sort of court mandated counseling but one thing is clear without a major course change this tard is on track to spend time in prison when he reaches adulthood.

    What's this "time out"?
They seem deliberately vague about what this place is.
They had "time out", at my "school", and it was an emptied out broom closet.
Get in the un-lit broom closet, Johnny, and don't flip out.
Don't flip out about going to the broom closet!
    This is all perfectly natural.
Oh my God, he flipped out, we're just so fucking surprised.
It's all on him, we had absolutely nothing to do with it. :?:

Fuck the media, and fuck this thread.

In Florida they segregate the autistics and violent kids into "schools" run by a local mental health facility. They focus less on education and therapy, and more on just keeping the violent little shits away from society during the day. They will usually have 4 or 5 empty little side room to throw kids into to isolate them when they get disruptive.

Well they TELL you they're all "violent little shits".
I saw diddling victims with flashbacks and claustrophobia get sent (to "time out") for not doing their fuckin' times tables.
Again, fuck the media, and fuck this thread.
We ain't getting the whole story.
I'm not falling for the narrative.
Stories like this are for the able bodied and minded to feel good about their dumpster fire lives, because someone always has it worse.

I know, they are indiscriminate with who they send there. Act up in class, get sent off. Doesn't matter if the kid's a mal-adjusted autistic child that needs proper therapy, or the truly violently disturbed. Ive seen some truly nice kids who were just never properly taught how to cope with their emotions get stuck in one of these places because the violent kids keep setting them off.

If you're a teacher it is better to run than hit a student. Even in retaliation. Don't forget the teacher in Arkansas where a high school boy walked up to him and punched him in the face. Hard.

The teacher hit him back. Knocked him out cold. He was fired. His license permanently revoked. And he was brought up on criminal charges.

Why am I not surprised that the only solutions you see in response to bring "attacked" by a 10 year old boy who looked to weigh all of 50 pounds is fight or flight.

Because any kind of physical response can be spun by a lawyer into being "excessive". And a kid hitting a teacher is most certainly beyond verbal persuasion.

As I already posted, I suspect that the mother released the name when she originally spoke to the local station that originally did the story.

I've done similar stories myself and unless the parent gives permission to use the child's name we don't identify the kid.

Why shouldn't the public have access to public records such as arrest records? "We must hide public records from the public for their own good!". [/authoritarian nonsense]

And I'll add that this is standard procedure across the country. Name the minor child in a negative story and a news outlet would face numerous repercussions, not the least of which could be a lawsuit by the parents.

    For a 10-year-old? :wtf:

There’s a reason juvenile conviction records are sealed. Or have you never filled out a job application that asks if you’ve ever been arrested?

At what age would you draw the line? Arrest a toddler for biting another kid in the sandbox? Ruin his chances for employment as an adult and add him to the welfare rolls and your tax burden?

Be interesting to see what criminal activity you engaged in before you were 11. Asshole.
