This isn't an insoluble problem or some sort of head-scratcher.
Even Donald Trump seems to have figured it out in the past couple of days. I guess you're somewhat behind him in intellectual and moral standards.

In theory she may have worn it due to rain. That part of the state has been inundated with rainfall over the last several days due to a tropical system that came in from the gulf.

But...that doesn't look like much of a rain jacket to me. :chris:

And it turns out the clothing company, Zara, has a very weird fashion sense...they've made a handbag with swastikas on it, a "Pepe" skirt, and a baby outfit that looks like what Jews were made to wear in concentration camps (complete with the Star of David).

In other words, Zara has a fashion sense to match the Trumps'.

I think you missed the point of locking you up in a safe place so that all the evil potheads don't turn your empty skull into a bong while your back is to them. It is much easier to lock up the worthless paranoid than make the rest of the world safe for their fearful little minds.

The pictures are miss-captioned or forged in order to sensationalize (I do know the difference, tosser). Children are not being kept in cages.

    more

The issue is separation of children from their parents and how this policy was designed to pressure congress to pass legislation and put pressure on families to consider the risks of coming here.

Whether the "kid in a cage" thing is accurate or not, I think what @steve2^4 is saying is that the people who are so fixated on it are missing the point at best, and unintentionally providing cover for the real issue at worst.

No, children are NOT being kept in cages. That's false, a lie, untrue, and has been appropriately and thorough debunked and disproven.

    A picture /= the pictures.

    Or video.

    Or audio.

    Or reporters accounts.

    Or ICE statements.

They're being kept in literal cages, regardless of the semantics. Equivocating on the point just makes you look heartless at best, or at worst you're falling for the Orwellian propaganda coming from the White House.

I seriously cannot believe we are having a debate over this. The photos and videos are there in plain sight and have been either verified or released by ICE themselves. Yes, there are some deceptive photos out there, but the existence of those deceptive photos does not negate the real photos of children in fucking cages.

You're being told the sky isn't blue because "look here's a photo where it's gray!" Don't let these propaganda tactics fool you. Most of you are smarter than this.

Would you be OK if someone put your daughter in a cage? Simple question, take a step back and think about it before answering it.

It first became known in 2011 and people did cry out about it. There was a huge outcry. Obama was a cast iron bastard when it came to illegal immigrants. He deported more people than any other president before him, but the right has been going on and on about how it was all "open borders" under Obama. Meanwhile, the immigration activists were calling him Deporter In Chief.

But at least it wasn't Obama's policy to separate children. It happened from time to time, mostly because of the 2014 surge in unaccompanied minors, but with Trump, Separating the children was the whole fucking point.

I don't personalize my thinking. I don't think its "OK" to put innocent children in "cages" though "cage" is a loaded and biased term. It isn't like they are being treated like animals. I don't think its "OK" for the presence of children to justify releasing their parents either.

Assuming their parents are telling the truth and they fled to the U.S. because of violence in their own countries then they are no doubt much safer in the U.S. even if in what people are calling "cages"

    OK, then we're in agreement.

:lmao: Since fucking when? A cage is a cage.

Some of them are. They're being strapped down and forcibly injected with drugs.

No one is suggesting that--this thread is about whether or not it's morally OK to put children in cages.

So that justifies keeping them in cages?? :wtf: This is the logic of a wife beater. "She's lucky I didn't hurt her more than I did."

    Also not a cage, amirite?

Look, no bars! Clearly not a cage!

(Hey, someone help me out, I can't remember the name of this episode. No, not the flashback one, that was "The Menagerie")

It ain't the material that makes it a cage, it's the guards, locks, and consequences for trying to leave. We were separating refugee families and putting them in cages. There still is no system for reconnecting those families. This is unconscionable.

By that reasoning, most amusement park and carnival rides are "cages"
