I'm not wading through this shit to see if I'm repeating what's already been said, but Biden has been putting out a lot of pics with him and Obama while teasing who he's going to pick for his VP. I'd be shocked if the latter would agree to it though. :wtf:

Obama can not be the Vice-President.

The Vice-President must be eligible to hold the office of the Presidency if the President vacates it. Obama has already served two terms. He can not serve as President.

Obama --can-- be veep. But he can't ascend to PotUS if Biden bites it. So it's a murky area that I doubt even Obama wants to test the grey area.

No. He can not be VP. No matter how many times you guys say it.

The VP as per the Constitution has to take over as President in the event the President vacates office.

    20th Amendment: 3: If, at the time fixed for the beginning of the term of the President, the President elect shall have died, the Vice President elect shall become President. If a President shall not have been chosen before the time fixed for the beginning of his term, or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified;

25th Amendment: 1: In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.

    There is no gray area.

From analysis I've seen, it all seems to come down to how literally you interpret the wording or if you choose to look deeper into the intention. :evilpop:

@Zombie it's not going to happen.

Obama (or Bill, or W) are just not forbidden from being Veep. In the unlikely event Biden were to bite it and Obama was the Veep, I think that A) everyone will panic, then B) the Speaker gets the job.

I know it won't happen. It will never happen. Because Obama can't be President and therefore he can't be Vice-President.

It would never survive in the courts.

And while it was winding it's way through the courts commercials of this asshole would be all over TV:

and letting everyone know she will be POTUS if Biden dies and Obama is VP.

I agree with you that it wouldn't stand up in court if they tried (which they won't), but it does seem to require not reading the rules 100% literally as written to reach that conclusion. ;)

The 22nd amendment only says a person cannot be ELECTED more than twice.

    So, yea ..., grey area.

I would have to put it on Biden making a shit choice and trying to backdoor Obama into the presidency. That is what it would be portrayed as in the news, and they would be right. I get Biden could potentially pick up support with Obama as VP, but the only way this tactic would not turn against whatever candidate did it would be if the VP/ex president choice was so insanely popular they could make a case against ending the two term limit. Obama is not even close to that. It might be legal to run a person who served two terms as president, but it would show terrible judgment considering the purpose of the VP is heavy with replacing the president if he cannot do his duty.

Biden could promise Obama a high ranking cabinet nomination before the election. Obama did accomplish an insanely awesome peace treaty with Iran that needs to be repaired. He could do a hell of a job as secretary of state.

He's going to pick a black woman as VP who most likely will be running for President in four years. I'm pretty sure no one will care about the old bill after that point.

Trump still needs to lay off the Big Macs....

He needs to get his ass on a treadmill. I don't think we've had a President this out of shape since Taft.

I'm calling bullshit on those BP numbers (as well as his height and weight) without him being on massive amounts of meds. I've never been anywhere near as bloated as Trump is, have generally worked physically demanding jobs, and can't recall my BP ever being that low.

Yeah, I call bullshit on those BP numbers as well. But at least, nearly four years in, we have some information about the health of the Occupant of the White House.

Next up? His tax records. :bergman:

The height I ain't buying either. This article did a good job on analyzing that. Both him and Arnold Schwarzenegger were notorious for fudging their height.

The weight....maybe. But true or not, it's mostly fat. And pictures don't lie.....

Of course, this is independent of the fact that Biden, or any other nominee, would have to be abominably stupid to risk tying up the vice presidency in months of litigation.

    It’s like the old rhyme

    Thirty days hath September
    April, June, and November.
    All the rest have 31
Except for March which has 8000.

April had like 3000 days at least, and May at least a few hundred. June is looking to be significantly longer, but probably not as long as March. I hope. Shit, shouldn’t have said that out loud.
